That's a relief, Warden Hodges. Original thought really not your thing.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Again the confusion was from your saying No sophistry there at all. It's very clear what is meant. Except to those always imagining deviousness in others.

This is just wrong. The expression dates back to at least Edmund Burke whose views on political representation you've often espoused. Not quite. I read that what Burke actually wrote was:- “Falsehood and delusion are allowed in no case whatever: But, as in the exercise of all the virtues, there is an economy of truth. It is a sort of temperance, by which a man speaks truth with measure that he may speak it the longer.” Whilst expressing a similar sentiment, Armstrong has condensed the idea and made it both more accessible and comprehensible. So it's his. In my opinion.

Original thought really not your thing. Others would disagree. I save them for occasions, and people, I believe are worthy of them. I try not to waste good ideas.

The usual Wisbechian claptrap. I doubt anyone is surprised at this comment, given its source.

It's not all bad news from the BBC, Anjem Choudary has been charged with three terror offences. He is accused of membership of a proscribed organisation, addressing meetings to encourage support for a proscribed organisation and directing a terrorist organisation, contrary to section 56 of the Terrorism Act 2000. Shaka Hislop collapsed pitched in California yesterday - the BBC had to insert the paragraph - the temperature was 30 degrees - it is unknown whether the heat played a part in his collapse.
