Na...it's just role reversal.

Well to be more accurate, what you are seeing is an internal war within the Republican party start to play out....a lot of angry people.

That's what is happening.....not to dissimilar to 2016 within the Democrats.

On a longer time scale the slow fragmentation of the US....where states pick and choose what rules they follow from government....again, similar to the last four years.

Some set their own bar at the very worst examples of their political opposites. This essentially leaves the individual with no standard to uphold, because they can always point to someone else and say 'but look at them!' or 'I don't recall you disagreeing with it when x did it, you hypocrite!' as if what some random individual thinks changes what the situation itself means.

Almost everyone on here has condemned violent protests, I certainly have. With that in mind, it seems rather disingenuous now to try to gloss over a complete disregard for law and attempt to either move on from it as it's happening or colour it neutrally as a show of power rather than something that is dangerous for elected officials and protestors alike.

The other week W12 made a few comments on here that did not in any way fall short of painting violence at this time as a valid option. I'm not looking for conversation to become tainted by stuff that is more at home on TOR. Anyone with sense criticises what is happening here without reservation. They don't get a thrill out of it or shrug off politicians holding a democratically held vote being imperiled en-masse.

The vast majority of the networks refused to criticise Antifa/blm...who were actually doing it. So I'm not sure you are remembering it well.

Well, much in the same vein here, no one's come out and supported any violence here either. So no doubt you'll feel much the same way....except you don't do you.

Maybe it will end like Jim Jones and his People’s Temple in Guyana. Trump gets all his supporters to kill themselves and then he miraculously escapes....
