Assistance from West is subject to strict controls and safeguards, including after it has been delivered, Peter Stano, EU Lead Spokesperson for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy said-UkrInform

Speculative assumptions about the EU and NATO concerns over the risk of smuggling weapons supplied to Ukraine are part of the Russian propaganda that tries to justify Russia's illegitimate attack on Ukraine, confuse public opinion, and manipulate facts, Peter Stano added

Tbh vince it’s sure as eggs is eggs that some will go astray to unknown buyers. This doesn’t need to be himars or howitsers. Just a few rpgs or powerful rifles. One day they will be used and I hope not on the plane I’m on.

Russia is based on disinformation and propaganda to suit their goals so I wouldn’t worry about your plane journey, their is unlikely to be any truth in it. Russia though ironically may have a history of domestic flights crashing, having spoke with a Polish person today whose PM twin died on plane to Russia. Apparently they would not allow Poland to inspect the wreckage. Make of that what you will

And just how is that done?

Most of the Ukraine's army is now non professional.

By the way the EU's supply of weapons is but nothing compared to the US and their support bill of forty billion was passed with no specific oversight or safeguards.

Rand Paul in the US senate specifically tried to stop the US's aid package citing this concern as one of the main reasons.

These deaths are tragic.

However, I'm been one of the few who have been calling for a realistic negotiated end to the fighting for months now.....Not the nuttery of saying Russia....who are winning the war....have to retreat to borders as they were on the 24th February.

Those who say, no we support the Ukrainians carrying on and fighting a war that they can't win have to realise that this means many many more innocent people will die and that is beyond terrible. The Ukrainians aren't going to negotiate when you give them tens of billions to carry on....they are currently training women conscripts to fight on the front lines.

Let's also not forget that both sides are responsible for shelling civilians. Russians write the names of dead children on their own missile shells.

But hey, carry on being deaf in one ear.
