I hear what you say but perhaps there should be a grading system with first dibs going to NHS front line workers plus care home staff and only then do other "essential workers" get tested Agreed this is something that should have been sorted at the outset. This is one of two areas that imo the Government have let themselves down, the other not closing the borders earlier (although they have never actually shut)

To be honest it was another example of poor journalism. The point of the article was that even after having booked an appointment the process failed. However using a Poundland (may have been Poundsaver) manager to highlight that detracted from the story. If they had used a nurse or a care worker than we would have been discussing why the process failed.

Apologies if this has been previously posted. It’s a list of key workers as defined on Friday.

They are testing far fewer than promised. Fair enough to be upset having left your sick bed (only the sick are being tested) and driven often quite far to find a total cock up.

Cyclists out in small peletons. Stopping and chatting close up. Unless these Lycra gangs all cosy up together in shared accommodation they’re applying their own rules or bringing in their 10 buddies they interact with early. Problem is those 10 mingle with a different 9 at least. Some probably a different 10 a day.

Funniest thing today is The Sunday Times referring to last week’s story that the government may not be listening to medical experts but another article says they should be listening to them less, on the same page. They could at least change tac gradually.

Maybe she thought that after neglecting front line NHS workers of PPE, until over 100 died, then finally offering them a text, but making it a 60 mile round trip, to someone without a car, could be classed as useless? Now is not the time obviously to take the government to account, but i think the old lady might be a tad smarter than you think!,,,,,,,,,,,,,
