How's your arm wrestling coward? Is this some kind of physical threat? If so, why? Did Dan once threaten to punch your lights out or something?

All acts of rioting and illegal protesting are indefensible no matter who the perpetrators are This isn’t worse from a ‘violence’ point of view, yet, but it is worse from almost every other angle. Absolute morons. I can see them all tearing apart the city ‘antifa style’ as we get later into the day anyway. These people are all the same. In a way I don’t blame them - trump is responsible for this. Republicans like Cruz have fanned the flames simply to feather their own presidential candidacy nests - imbeciles CNN interviewing a pro trump republican - unsurprisingly he is not amused. Well, I was predicting this weeks ago. I'm enjoying the sudden angered engagement...when this is just the same as the last four years but just coming from the side you don't support. But remember, just think about the mostly peaceful demonstrations.

Your second paragraph does however make a significant point. It's that after years of watching the Police soft ball Antifa/blm and operate against those who actually supported the Police, right wing groups have had enough. After their leader was arrested yesterday they have decided to stop supporting the Police and to start treating them as Antifa treat them. In terms of the Police that's what you are seeing. The Capitol building event is specific to the election and would have happened regardless. Edited by Stirlingsays (06 Jan 2021 8.29pm) I expect you would have been there if you could eh? Nothing like a good 'revolution', for that is what it is. Apparently. Reminds me of good old Croydon in 2011, what fun we had eh!

But remember, just think about the mostly peaceful demonstrations. It’s really not the same Just because it’s a protest that is starting to turn violent doesn’t make it excusable because of whataboutery If it was just a few people burning stuff down in the city and smashing up Starbucks like the examples you cite, it’s just as bad as any other rioting, and equivalent. Breaking and entering congress is another level altogether. Doesn’t matter who it is, that’s why it’s provoking significant outrage. If you don’t think this is wrong because ‘the left’ then that’s a pretty childish point of view. Again, any violence is disgraceful - I don’t care the ‘side’ but this? Morony of the highest order Just because other people on the ‘other side’ have in your view been getting away with violent rioting doesn’t justify this in any way. Simple as.

Na...it's just role reversal. Well to be more accurate, what you are seeing is an internal war within the Republican party start to play out....a lot of angry people. That's what is happening.....not to dissimilar to 2016 within the Democrats. On a longer time scale the slow fragmentation of the US....where states pick and choose what rules they follow from government....again, similar to the last four years.
