Rather a self-fulfilling prophesy then. oh dear, championship here we come, then we can save on wages as there is bound to release clauses in all the top players contracts if we are relegated.....what manager wants to come knowing that!

Because the whole thread laughable. Over 300 pages and realistically we no closer to knowing who gonna be the next manager? You do know that this forum has no influence over the next manager right? We have no right to expect to hear any regular updates either. There is no news because there is nothing that Parish wants to tell. I feel quite heartened by that. I like how Parish goes about our business in private even if it takes its till on here. I doubt that nothing is going on behind the scenes.

Well if can't promise transfer budgets to any incoming Manager to strengthen the team, what incentive do they have to come and damage their image, we need at least four or five quality players, otherwise we are as we were, which was not very good to say the least, not my wish but these are the facts, we have no manager, no pre-season planning, no activity in the transfer market (that would be madness without a manager), so please give me hope?

The only thing that is clear is that nothing is clear. Could be FdB, could be Pellegrino, could be Dyche.

Yes,I agree with the Sakho plus 1,although the former depends on Liverpool not wishing to make a huge profit on a player they want rid of.Remembering that with Wickham and Soare returning to fitness, and squad inclusion, our requirements are not so drastic.Your last sentence also makes sense,as an amount allocated in the eventuality of staying in the Premier League.

Given that Sakho was going to cost £30m plus 1 would give a transfer kitty of £40m ish which would be a decent sum

I went myself for an interview with abbot vascular 4 weeks ago . After the 3rd week I heard nothing from them so I sent them an email asking if they were any nearer to making a desission and they replied it will be another week. So me being a small bit impatient told them where to stick their job and joined their main competitors. The day after abbot rang and asked when could I start . Maybe if abbot like Parrish came to a quicker conclusion they would have had better employee instead of their second choice. In short get your finger out mr Parrish before all the good managers join our rivals .

When it comes to managerial appointments, SP has got far more right than wrong. Freedman took us to the brink of promotion, Holloway carried us over the line, Pulis rescued us when Holloway struggled at the next level, Warnock struggled, Pardew again rescued us from the s*** as did Allardyce. With the exception of Warnock, I'd argue that every one of those managers was exactly what we needed at the time we appointed them. You missed out Burley and when Holloway took over he said that "this team is so good that it manages itself" so perhaps promotion was achieved on autopilot and Holloways could be counted as a negative appointment

Holloway took over a difficult situation, and ultimately got the job done, a considerable achievement in itself. He also had the good grace to bow out when he figured the PL challenge was above his pay grade

Hardly an image to protect de Boer was last sacked by Inter Milan. I suggest you have no idea what contract players are on, the pre season planning or if fact anything at all.
