Yes it does. It means he can't leave unless we say so.

Please don't come back and tell me he will refuse to play. That only adds a small bit of weight to the balance of selling against not selling. At this time, the reasons not to sell far outweigh that.

You can still have a difficult situation in the team and dressing room.

We’re lucky that none of these bids have come close to £80 mil so they’ve been easy to backhand away and Wilf doesn’t have much grounds to pipe up about it. Now there’s little time left Parish can use the time limitations as a reason to backhand bids that could get closer to £80 mil.

Overall none of these clubs have the money apart from Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool or Man Utd. Spurs possibly but all of these clubs have reasons they won’t be buying him, or buying him this window or summer. Lots of prayer ignoring this fact.

‘Palace were unwilling to do what Lille were willing to do; that is to take a reduced payment upfront.’

They haven’t mentioned Arsenal are spreading payments over FIVE years. Fvcking joke this skybet driven transfer window.

Should call it the skybet profit/racket transfer window.

Wilf is always said to be a player who needs an arm around him and this annual saga could just be him needing to feel wanted, valued or whatever.
Personally I don’t think a move is in his best interest. This is in no way a criticism but Palace fans are a lot more forgiving toward him than many may be and if he went to a “bigger” club he wouldn’t be able to play the same game; star strikers want the ball delivered quickly and accurately rather than stand around watching him doing tricks.

But none of the teams above us value him anywhere near what we do, so he can’t go to one of them clubs.

Must be a right kick in the nuts for him, that outside of Selhurst he really isn’t very highly rated, In fact the club that ‘he supported ‘ rate the other Ivory Coast winger as twice as good. Shame

Not so sure he would. In fact at Spurs he would deffo face a pay cut.

If he ends up staying, and I really hope he does, I have no doubt he will be wearing our shirt like he always has. He is such a star for us Im sure he will give us his all like always.
Plus the better he does, the more chance he will have of securing his dream move next summer.

I do rate him highly, if, or when he isn’t throwing strops, moaning about refs, getting involved with away fans, being wound up by players obviously intending to do just that. Watford was different but mostly he isn’t dealing with itvlike a top player. There’s also the end product issue. I’ve seen him beat players and then not deliver the ball, or well. I e also seen him try to beat two players at once and lose the ball, rather than play the ball 3 yards for pva or Schlupp to whip a ball in first time. All this is unprofessional and raises question marks so I essentially rate him but there isn’t evidence enough that he applies it consistently or without problems. 2 seasons back he was brilliant. Last season his head was all wrong. He could probably do with a psychologist getting through to him in the same way tennis players fail because they subconsciously get off on losing their heads in battle.

Agree with most of what you say, and even with our rose tinted palace glasses on, not worth a punt at 80 million for a top club. To many ifs and buts with Wilf.

I agree...he could have quiet easily put this to bed ages ago and say he’s a palace player and that’s the end of of it...but no Charlie big potatoes wants to play in the champions league... with Arsenal! Then Everton and now Spurs! I was always taught to not bite the hand that feeds you... I’d sell him, he ain’t as good as he thinks he is... he deserves dogs abuse at Selhurst...
