Guys are you missing the point here! He is successful and if he did takeover im 99% sure he would be far better than most fans business men we could hope for; Even if he does not give a s*** about us he would want the club to make money. 1) This would mean far more fans world wide and in england 2) increased sales of all things palace 3) being able to persuade people of higher calibre to the club Therefore I cant think of what could be better

I am still mostly certain this is a joke that has snowballed somewhat. If I was to assume it might happen, which actually nearly melts my brain it's so bizarre, then I think irrespective of the fact it would save the club, I would have serious reservations about our identity. I would love it if it stopped at galvanizing the local community, clearing our debts and making us competitive, but you have to worry about the club being at the behest of a millionaire playboy with a big ego (erm, I mean another one) . That said, he is a very astute businessman and there is no telling what the approach might be. As with most things, it is probably easier to judge people's intentions by their actions. Modern football is already sickening in many ways and whatever happens, no-one can tell me that the way things are at Palace now is any better - the stadium is less than half full and a growing percentage are utter morons. Change isn't necessarily for the better, but saving going out of business totally, things would struggle to get any worse. Now coming back to reality - this story is mental.

What with Fulham knocking Juve out by putting 4 past them , today has been totally surreal.

But he is a good businessman and his team have grown to the point where they're now in the 1/4 finals of the europa league. At the very least, if he's interested then we should listen to what he has to say. Guilfoyle and P Daddy - unreal!

Here are who his agents are in the UK. Their presence in sport is quite interesting, and I wonder if they could have alerted him if, again, this rumour is true. If anything happens either way no doubt we'll find out in the next couple of days from BG.

Very good point, Al-Fayed has been fantastic for Fulham against most people's initial opinion - It emphasises that judging someone by their actions rather than preconceptions is the way forward. I would still be apprehensive if this ridiculous story ended up being true, but I would be more than happy to give any owner the chance to prove that they are there for the benefit of the club.
