If he were at any club other than ours he would be fined for his behaviour on social media.

I'm more frustrated by the lack of respect he showed the fanbase via his performances since the Bournemouth game. I know the whole team was bad but he was in the bottom half of performances virtually every game which, for a player who has a belief he should be starting for a club competing in the knockout stages of the Champions league, is pretty pathetic. I'd be disappointed if he still is here at the start of the season because we'll just end up with our own Bale situation. Agreed but I’d extend it beyond the Bournemouth game as I think he’s been below par and extremely poor ALL season. I wanted shot of him last summer (as my posts a year ago will confirm) and for the lack of impact that he’s had this Season we would’ve been better off selling him then and re-investing the money we received in a young exciting player who actually wanted to be here and who would play at something other than walking pace. We are long overdue getting rid of him, as his whole attitude and performances on the pitch demonstrate.

The season before last was his most successful one for us. This season 3 goals and 4 assists may look bad, but that's still 25% of our goals this season. Then add all the times hes been fouled and we got a free kick and scored, played a pass to a player that's made an assist, or freed up space for someone else. He's are most marked and fouled player yet pretty much all out goals come down the left had side. We can't rely on him to produce magic each week in order to give a reprieve to Roy's dour negative tactics. Our record on replacing star players is awful, as is Hodgson's (£35m for Andy Carroll). Zaha isn't the person we should be hounding out of the club.

Agree with you here. Someone's probably just texted the screen. They pointed at it. Wilf laughed. He's on a night out having a good time with his friends. He shouldn't have to be professional all the time. People who are upset by this are clearly oversensitive. We aren't setting up to play to Zaha's strenghts. It's no wonder he wants to leave. Yet many of you think that getting rid of our most talented player at a bargin basement price will fix the problems we have. Our problem might be 70 odd years old.

I think if zaha wants this move he’s going to have to take a pay cut I can’t see anyone matching his wages (and bonus) after the season he’s had. On the positive for us we stayed up this season with very limited and little contribution from zaha and in previous seasons I never thought it could happen. it’s a shame it looks like we’re going to get considerably less for a player the club have spent a lot of money on , aswel as sacrificing transfers Windows to keep him on board but most fans would agree now that not only is it no good trying to keep a player who has made his mind up on leaving but also financially for the club he’s just not worth the money when the squad needs serious investment. Which does beg the question if the ‘main man at palace’ isn’t value for money at selhurst anymore, where would he be?

Meh, someone played a prank on him out at a club. What's he gonna do, have a strop and throw his drink on the floor?

Zaha isn't the person we should be hounding out of the club. He's not being hounded out of the club, he's literally banging the fire exit down and has been for a while. He doesn't want to be here because, for some reason, he thinks a club playing European football will view him as an important player. Exclude that Bournemouth game, the result that essentially made us safe, and I can't think of a reason why the half-arsed Zaha that played the last 8 games would be anything other than the Zaha that we should expect to see going forward. He's the highest paid player at the club. The expectation is that he delivers above and beyond everyone else. It was still Hodgson in charge when Zaha had the good season the year before so I don't see that as an excuse. Ayew embarrassed Zaha last season for work rate and output.

If he is not careful he is on a quick route to being finished as a player. Appears not to want to play for us and may not be wanted by another club having to pay mega bucks per annum on top of a hefty signing on fee. I think eaglesmy1 is correct, if he wants to go to a Champions League or Europa League club he may have to take a pay cut to achieve it. If that is the case then we will be able to pretty quickly work out whether it is ambition or cash that drives him. The even bigger disappointment may come for him if he goes to a club who see him as an impact player rather than a regular starter. I do not think that would sit well with Wilf, who, despite some of his tantrums, wants to play football and will often play with injuries as we have seen.
