Didn't we just sin a centre half from relegated Fulham and nobody complaining about that.

Sorry not 'from' Fulham obviously but he was relegated with them.

I should hope not, seeing as we don't own him and would then have to begin again this time next year. Another good point!

I know this has been spoken about before but why do we seemingly take so long to get deals over the line and confirmed/announced?

Scott Dann certainly had a relegation (maybe two) on his CV when we signed him (Blackburn and Birmingham I think). It really is low down the list of considerations when it comes to whether you should sign a player.

Was having a drink with a couple of Chelsea fans yesterday and they both spoke very highly of Gallagher and Guehi. The same cannot be said of Abraham who they did not rate at all.

Exactly it can even be a positive as it gives the player the opportunity to show ability and leadership in adversity. Look at Wilf more or less our only creative player in a negative team that role is probably a lot harder than if he was playing for Man City.

I know this window was always going to suffer from a Covid hangover but I'm surprised how quiet it has been by many clubs, I'm very surprised the promoted clubs have not been more active in the market.

Apropos teams promoted to the PL, Watford have made 9 signings,Norwich 6 and Brentford 3. A couple of weeks before the PL starts and the 'Transfer Window' does not shut until the end of August.
