We will not sign Eze. We are too incompetent. Usual excuses will be peddled. We weren’t interested in a deal at that level, deal wasn’t right for palace. If we wanted him we should have taken the initiative and done a deal when no other clubs were involved. Virtually any other premier league club would beat us to Ezes signature. There was a window for us to get them deal done when we were the only ones talking to QPR. That’s passed now. Let’s just move onto the available loans and free transfers as normal.

Latest rumour, Fulham willing to pay £15m for Eze. Not sure how that compares to our offer, but I thought I read on here somewhere our initial offer was £12m? QPR want £20m.

Tbh my feelings.. he will tootle over the road to Fulham and we will continue with our strategy of ‘free transfers’ and continue the fall into championship abyss. Even if we sell Wilf the £ will just service our Covid debt and our extraordinary high wage bill.

I'm quite happy for us to structure add ons based on performance. But if these only kick in when we qualify for Europe I don't blame QPR for saying no thanks. A more realistic add on would be based on number of first team games played by the player.
