This was a good thread. People were coming on and talking about the likelihood that we would stay up / go down, backed up with limited analysis (but that is all that is required).

The thread has been derailed because people (a person!) has come on with some fairly contentious views and alluding to having carried out analysis (that they wont share), and generally enjoying winding everyone up.

People have asked for the supporting analysis enough times. We can't engage with the subject without it. It is clear that it is not coming. So continuing to discuss the run-in with these people is not going to (for me) be much fun.

I try and avoid people who argue like this in the pub. So I am going to do the same thing on here. If we all do the same then we can hopefully get the thread back on track.

So, for once and for all, can we stop with all of these "Willo" posts.

What you've done is posted the same conclusion over and over again without showing how you've come to this conclusion when the world out there gives us about a 10% chance of going down.

Others have debated with substance and proof. If you're going to post the same position in a thread, at least show why. I cannot see many people away from an Internet forum but in actual real life being able to go about this subject in the way you have and having any credibility given how you don't or cannot answer the questions. Have a think how this stance and conversation would look in a real life situation. And you said at least you had the courage to air your opinion on here. Really.

I really thinik that WILLO v The Rest is not best serving this thread so I shall play my part in trying to keep it on track by patently NOT responding to any further goadings.

What on earth is contentious about predicting we will be relegated ? We are a point off the drop-zone and will slip into it if Southampton beat Chelsea tomorrow.

As for the analysis - I do get the impression that far from wanting the details others on here are just using it as an excuse to try and antagonise me and further their agenda against a fellow supporter.At the end of the day the 'Bottom line' is that my predictions have us relegated and how I got to that is somewhat irrelevant.

I really don't think I need to respond to those who demand details, posters who seek every opportunity to hurl brickbats in my direction.

I certainly don't exist here to raise any hackles - I have given my honest opinion (Which might well prove wrong) and tried to keep this debate on-track.So maybe rather than use this thread as a vehicle for further ordure,posters can actually concentrate on the subject matter which I tried to do by listing the forthcoming fixtures.
