As a season ticket holder, I really hope CW gets back to fitness as we’ll definitely survive the drop with him banging in the goals at Selhurst again. Brings back so many memories like that goal in the defeat at Man City and the one... or the time.. um.. oh wait. Nothing personal whatsoever but he needs to go.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

It's worth letting him get back to fitness as a back up striker - if we get someone of the calibre of Morelos or the cska player in then Benteke would be No2 and Ayew no3 - I'd rather have Wickham and Benteke challenging for the striker position, and as he's only recently recovered he won't get frustrated fighting for his place, you need back up and if you don't have youngsters waiting in the wings its very hard to get motivated quality in the reserves

Great striker. Deserves one more season to prove his fitness and show us what he can do.

When he first arrived I posted that the view from Sunderland fans was he is a sick note. I got ripped into on these boards He came, he got injured, he stopped playing They were right. I see no prospect of that changing, sadly. And the rumour is he didn’t work too hard to accelerate his recovery. A write off methinks. But let’s wait and see

I also had furious rows on here with people thrilled we signed this heavily-tattooed and coiffured wannabe and sold the balding, ageing Glenn Murray. Since this Alan Pardew-inspired piece of business. Wickham : All goals - 10. Murray : All goals - 56. And before some snide comes on here and says: ".....but, but a load of those goals were in the Championship," I have news for you, Wickham wouldn't have scored in that division either.

SHocking transfer window but for the first time in years I’m feeling that Wickham and Benteke might finally come good. Both have knocked a couple in during preseason. Fingers crossed as we need them to start pitching in. Think Meyer and the new guy might raked up the assists too. It’s beyond a joke that we haven’t bought one or two right backs and another striker. Defence is gonna have a hard time, but have a feeling this year we’ll score more goals. COYP
