My answer equates to "Roughly spherical and there are two of them".

Desperate 'Lefties' propogating palpable tosh and demeaning the HOL.

On that note I shall soon be departing for a tipple or two with those who engage in facts and not fantasy.

Comparing what it was like to be poor in the past to now is just excusing the fact we have many poor people - a lot of who work.

A lot of people these days are "poor" because they cannot budget either because they do not want to or have never been taught values. The youth of today are in a rut I am sorry to say and its not really their fault as their parents have no values themselves and cannot budget. They all want the latest mobile phone, Sky TV, a car, they smoke and they drink. Some do drugs which makes their situation ever worse. They do not realise that if they sat down and looked at what money was coming in and what they spent/wasted it on then they might just switch on that they really do need to tone down their want want want attitude. They then might see that a home of their own is feasible and not out of reach. Most of us have a roof over our heads and pay our bills when they are due, not like some who just get paid and piss it against the wall and have a great time. and find their food cupboard empty and a pile of bills on the table waiting to be paid.
I fully appreciate that some people are restricted in pay rises because of the 1% pay increase lock, I know as I am one who is in the same boat but you do not see me rushing down to the food bank as some nurses are supposed to be doing. They tried that ruse here in Plymouth and it was found that the reason a couple of them went there was because they had wasted their wages on having fun and were hungry. This is even tough they are on good money anyway. I know people who have really low wages down here but they feed themselves, their kids and pay all their bills because they budget correctly and do not buy things they know they cannot afford and their homes are clean and well kept. This must tell you something about the moaners who waste their dole money and have nothing and just complain that society is letting them down. When in fact if they got off their arses and got a job they might just become a respectable citizen paying their way and holding their heads up.
Youngsters need to be taught that nothing in life is for nothing and that you have to earn your way through life and it will then earn you some respect for yourself.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

No, it is stating a reality about so called poverty.

It's a rubbish socialist argument just like the stupid crap about the NHS being sold off.
Labour always leave the country and the majority of working people worse off while only the unemployed and minority interests benefit.

This is just pathetic and a desperate attempt to keep pace with the debate. You are treading water like a pedalo fighting the tide.

In 2010, May promised to bring the level of net migration down to less than 100,000.[73] In February 2015, The Independent reported, "The Office for National Statistics (ONS) announced a net flow of 298,000 migrants to the UK in the 12 months to September 2014—up from 210,000 in the previous year."[74] In total, 624,000 people migrated to the UK in the year ending September 2014 and 327,000 left in the same period. Statistics showed "significant increases in migration among both non-EU citizens – up 49,000 to 292,000 – and EU citizens, which rose by 43,000 to 251,000."[74]

Sorry I had to 'trawl' to debunk your counter argument.

I'd say May's promise to reduce immigration has resoundingly failed. Despite actual facts, you do not.

But you think immigration is the best thing since sliced bread, so why are you complaining?

I think you will find it was David Cameron who was PM at the time NOT Theresa May.Collective Cabinet responsibility and all that.Things have moved on since then.

Of course pending Brexit negotiations, the manifesto mentioned bringing immigration down to sustainable levels so Theresa May as PM should be judged on this NOT going back to 2010 !

Now out with my wife. Have a good evening 'Gusseting'.

With 317 MPs I suppose you get 317 chances.
