Had vague memories of a list of 'humorous' book titles. One of them was 'Carpet Laying by Walter Wall'. It seemed a bit random, so I thought no one else would have it - and I was right!

I was in a car crash that resulted in a badly broken arm. I had metal pins implanted to allow the bone to grow correctly. Hence I have been very occasionally called "iron man" although the likeness is so very minimal it's more of an ironic thing.
This is my twitter. [Tweet Link]
"We'll go down as legends. No..we'll stay up as legends." Nathaniel Clyne I haven't seen the film. I have a plated arm! |

From the film and TV Series when I joined the original HOL back in 2000. Also share the same first name as the lead character, so it seemed a nice fit and I did not want to have one that would date, such as after a player/manager etc.
"A man may fight for many things. His country, his friends, his principles, the glistening tear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn." |

I, like many others here, am not terribly original. When I signed up my preferred option of eaglist was unavailable, which is my username for many other things, I was a bit miffed at that so I believe I had a little hissy fit then just plumped for the above. pdem is a grand amalgamation of my first initial p for Paul and dem is the first three letters of my surname and then eagle of course because.... why was it again ??? ah yes eagle is cos I'm a Palace fan since I was first brought to the old Holmesdale Terrace as a wide-eyed 14 year old while over in London on my school hols one Summer. It was glorious, I was hooked, especially because the first 2 games I saw were in the 1 week and we beat Forest 2-0 on the Tuesday and went again that Saturday and saw us beat Portsmouth 5-1 leaving me with the impression that Crystal Palace were Unbeatable. All I remember of the scorers was that Chris Armstrong got a hat-trick v Pompey and I think Gareth Southgate scored a belter from the edge of the box in the same game. Unfortunately that belief has been tested quite alot since but Crystal Palace are my team and always will be :-) Edited by pdemeagle (08 Aug 2010 3.48pm)

I was in college, thinking of a quirky username for my first hotmail account in '99.... being my initials RG, thought I'd start with that, then strangely the word monster popped into my head, I said it aloud, my friends agree and it stuck. It wasn't until after that I realised, when drunk, when you try to say it slurred... sometimes it sounds more like 'orgymonster' which of course got me into some awkward moments!

Catfish was a blues song by Robert Petway. Like to think of myself as a bit of a bluesman.......man.
Yes, I am an agent of Satan but my duties are largely ceremonial |
