The FT is most certainly not a Conservative supporting paper. Probably to the left of the Guardian at the moment.

Is isterine mouthwash an oral discinfectant. I'm sure swallowing a bit of it wont harm you and some must be absorbed once it reaches the stomach. Could this be the 'type' which may kill the bug. hydrogen peroxide is one of the active ingredients I think. Dyes your hair as well!

The impartiality of the ‘independent’ scientific advisers can certainly be brought into question when it becomes clear that partisan members of the PMs advisory team were attending the SAGE meetings.... I wonder why they were so keen to avoid the names of the attendees getting into the press... Edited by SavoyTruffle (24 Apr 2020 8.54pm) This is a non story unless somebody else speaks out. He was an observer along with others and if you think about that it is perfectly logical. No 10 needs to understand the thinking of the body and how they arrive at their decisions after all the politicians will have to defend the policy to the rest of us. It makes sense then for no 10's Chief political advisor to listen in along with other civil servants. Now if it turns out that he was pushing the experts in a certain direction then that is political interference and certainly a story. However so far I have been surprised at the lack of senior experts disagreeing with the current policy. Yes outsiders have had their say but we haven't seen people from within quitting and publicly berating the government for ignoring the facts..... So for this story to run we need a smoking gun otherwise it's just journalists making mischief against their chief hate figure.

Rumours coming out of Gatwick suggest that GAL do not see passenger/ flight numbers returning to what they were until 2024. Can see many airlines disappearing if this is the case

Actually one plane less would mean lower numbers and a lot of people have suggested it could be a good thing environmentally if there’s less unnecessary travel. Pointless business meetings that can be done on video for a start. Of course that will damage economies but how much compared to tourism where countries are crippled without any tourism?

I don’t know how they arrived at this presumably from predictions, as they run the airport one must assume they have some information , just reporting what is being said. I totally agree that many business meetings should be done by video link. Used to see plane loads from Bermuda just coming for 2-3 days of meetings.
