Innuendos? Nothing the Sun reported has been denied as far as I have seen. Happy to be corrected.

Their initial reporting made heavy suggestions that the behaviour was illegal. Then, after the denial from the person involved and the statement by the police, they switched to the “concerned parents” stance. So both the person involved and the police have denied the innuendo.

It’s unlikely to be paedophilia at McDonalds unless they are also breaking employment law! The enquiry you refer to wasn’t into the BBC itself. It was an enquiry into Savile’s activities there and why they remained undiscovered. Dame Janet Smith identified 72 victims of sexual crimes. Not 174 but still 72 too many. She was scathing about the culture that prevailed and demanded action. Which the BBC accepted and delivered. What was not alleged was that BBC as a corporation knew. The report says there is no evidence that any senior member of staff was aware of Savile’s conduct.

That people want that to mean something else doesn’t mean it does.

The McDonalds exposures are different but they are current and concerning. As I anticipated there are now hundreds more being revealed as people come forward, some of which are very serious and will take up a lot of police time.

Wisbech at his finest, BBC blameless, McDonalds guilty as hell. To paraphrase Orwell, 'All organisations are equal, but some are more equal than others'.

You have no idea if they are record highs.

Do you claim to know the temperature thousands of years ago, would not surprise me if you did

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Nothing has been denied by the alleged abuser.

No allegation has been withdrawn by the parents of first alleged victim

The denial from the first alleged victim was through a 750/hour lawyer, nothing to raise a flag there.

These facts will be irrelevant to you as they don't support your deluded conclusions.

A year ago today places in the UK was basking in 40.3 degrees. No doubt that was portrayed as what would happen each year.

The Jet Stream has decided to sit somewhere else this year so we're back to our normal Summer. Not saying that climate change isn't happening but does everything have to be related to it.

Getting back on topic and the McDonalds accusations.....personally, I blame climate change.

Can't help but think the BBC are making a bit of a happy meal about it though.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

This whole discussion isn't about the BBC as a corporate entity but the fact that they represent The Establishment and so must be respected, defended and cherished. We've seen this before with the grooming gangs where the police didn't act but must've been right because they are The Police, lockdown was correct because it was recommended by Medical Experts, referendums are wrong because all decisions should be taken by The Government and so we should be duly deferential, know our place and accept their actions without question.

The BBC haven’t spun this anymore than I have. They accepted their failings and dealt with them. What on earth more could they have done?

The truth is that the BBC covered up for paedos for decades. They could have looked into it several times but decided their reputation was more important. These days their reputation is in tatters and no one blame anyone for thinking the BBC was/is full of paedos. It would quite literally be an evidence based conclusion.

Whilst every comedy should have Penelope Keith or Felicity Kendall - or both.
The shipping forecast remains unsullied by scandal, although they all probably knew about Saville. Dogger Bank could perhaps be considered a little salacious.
