Proper jobs?

They are proper jobs. Just not conventional ones. BB King, for example, used to do 325 gigs a year. Every damned year.

Hi there....

Well I didn't enjoy my walk.... it started raining and I found a young dead squirrel in the road, poor thing. Took it to the woods and gave him a little send off bless him.

I notice you said 'rarely' which gives me hope of seeing her lovely norks again in GoT.

Right I don't believe you do have an agenda and are genuine.

1. Controlled Immigration. As members of the EU we cannot control numbers or quality. We have to admit anyone from an EU country who wants to come here.
2. Sovereignty. We have to abide by the laws of the EU regardless of whether we agree with them. Leaving the EU leaves us free to pass our own laws as and when we see fit.
3. Membership Fees. The Gross cost of being a member is £350 Million per week. Currently we get rebates and refunds which nets the cost to us per year of £8 Billion. Lost forever every year and those rebates/refunds are not guaranteed in the future. That money can be reinvested into the NHS or some other good cause that we decide rather than the EU.
4. Further expansion of EU. More countries are being invited to join. That means potentially more immigrants. If Turkey joins that will mean an influx of more Muslims and the potential for possible terrorists to be amongst them.
5. Limited space in UK. We simply cannot accept any more mass immigration. Our population has grown from 50M to 65M in the last 50 years, but the last decade has seen the fastest growth.
6. Housing & Infrastructure. The level of population growth in point 5 above has meant we have a housing shortage. Not only that though - the associated infrastructure of schools, GP practices, hospitals, roads etc is already unable to cope. Add another 10 million people and it will collapse.
7. The EU is a failed experiment doomed to failure. Greece are on the brink of bankruptcy and others like Italy are heading for fiscal failure too. That means us being asked to pay more to bail them out.

You asked for 5, I gave you 7.

Over to Remain to give their 5 bullet points.

1 - As an EEA nation, very clearly the most likely outcome of this, we will still have no control over immigration
2 - In the EEA we'll still have to abide by many but not all EU laws, but will have no say over said laws
3 - In the EEA we will effectively pay about the same as we do now
4 - We had a veto on any new nation joining the EU. Now we don't, so if we join the EEA and the EU has allowed Turkey to join due to our lack of say, we'll be on the receiving end of Turkish immigration that wouldn't have otherwise been possible
5 - I agree with you here that allowing vast numbers of people to move here each year does bring a lot of problems that need addressing, I just don't think politicians will be able to or want to do anything about it
6 - Immigration is certainly a factor in the housing crisis. There will always be a housing crisis in this country though even if we have next to no immigration, because it suits the government, even if it doesn't benefit the people. Hospitals and so are impacted by immigration, a lack of funding, an elderly population. These are complex issues where we can't really point a single finger of blame. Like I said though, I wouldn't care if immigration was 0. If there was a way to stop immigration and for it not to have a big negative effect on trade deals and so on, then go for it.
7 - Who knows. I'd be happier to leave second than first. As it stands we are likely going to go seek a deal which all EU countries have to approve. They have a balancing act between not wanting to overly damage their own interests and also not wishing to allow an attractive deal to go through, encouraging others to leave. The scenario where we fast forward 2 or 3 years and have control over immigration is unlikely.

Thanks for correcting me Stuk.

No problem, I suspected it was a slip of the keyboard but can't take a risk with not being factual. Just for Kermit.

Cameron was obviously not a good poker player and got shafted pre Referendum.

I am confident we can get a deal. If not we go looking for other markets.

The world is our Oyster card.

Just out of interest what exactly do you think the deal is we can get? Like you seem fairly intelligent so I'm guessing you understand we are gonna have to take a hit somewhere?

Also, I do find it quite frustrating when people say we will simply take our market elsewhere. Rebuilding an economy away from the single market will take a substantial amount of time and whilst I'm under the impression that eventually we will sort ourselves out, I don't particularly wanna wait to see the good days until I'm in my 40s!

I always was on the fence but voted remain simply because I favoured a referendum in a few years down the line when someone I trusted a bit more lead the leave campaign, who had thought out a clear and realistic exit plan that wouldn't have any ill effects on the economy. I just do not think we are ready at all.

We already do. Stop panicking.

Time to move forward together.

BBC News shame on you, the way you totally distorted the latest EU reports on News at Ten was subjective, to say the least!
I watched events live today, the way you edited out of sequence events into a package did not accurately represent the true order of events and surprise surprise your VT reports were again unjust to BREXIT. The cutaway shots you used did not marry up at all with reality, gave a totally different warped spin. BBC News is now like watching big brother edited highlights! Jonathan Munro should be held to account.

A state broadcaster. Broadcasting what the state says. You seem surprised.

Good piece from Allison Pearson in the Telegraph, in counter to all the blubbing from other representatives of the Fourth Estate.

Initially...... nothing.

As I said the EU are bricking it and will play hard ball to put off any other dissenters.

Trust me, the loss of £350M Gross per week from us, which equates to £8 Billion per annum will seriously fcuk up the EU economics.

As soon as we start blocking the trade from EU countries into the UK (German Cars, French produce, wine, Italian Wine, Greek Olive Oil) as a tit for tat gesture, they will buckle first, or have open revolt from the people who will be affected... just like our people who have suffered from the effects of mass immigration.

Oh and just in case anyone missed it, here is Nigel Farage's parting shot to the EU council....

That is how to deal with EU bureaucracy!
