It demonstrates caring more about being in globalist club as you say, than the hardships of the voters. I cam starting to think there will be a new party that will split the 2019 Conservative vote and Labour may well get in with an overall majority Yep, especially with a coalition. The Tories have absolutely ruined that eighty seats majority, what an opportunity.

Sunak wants to be seen sitting at the table with the big boys so we pay the price. I would have more respect for him if he didn't go or went and told this conference a few home truths about India and China. As for reparations, some countries will use any excuse to guilt the West out of money. First it was imperialism then it was aids now it's climate change it all adds up to the same their woes can only be solved by us throwing money at them.

There is absolutely no conflict between traditional Conservative values and social progression. Except in the minds of the far right, aka the dissident right, etc, etc. I suppose that is what an accidental stumbler onto gay nudist beaches would think. I think most honest people, regardless of their political affiliation would see the contradiction in your words. Once again, the dissident right is a wide ranging group, from Farage to Parvini to Collet. It argues amongst itself and has multiple versions with its own left, centre and right. As usual, and as you regularly prove on this site, you don't know what you're talking about. Edited by Stirlingsays (08 Nov 2022 11.13am)

You don't think it, for instance. I think most honest people, regardless of their political affiliation would see the contradiction in your words. Judged by the internet company you keep I fail to see you have any experience to reach such a conclusion. Once again, the dissident right is a wide ranging group, from Farage to Parvini to Collet. It argues amongst itself and has multiple versions with its own left, centre and right. Probably true, yet you portray yourself as a spokesman for the entire basket of "further to the right of traditional Conservatives, which includes many genuinely basket cases. If you speak up for them, expect to be taken down for them too. As usual, and as you regularly prove on this site, you don't know what you're talking about. Not at all. You wear the crown in that department. There's no challenge from me over that. It's yours to keep. Edited by Stirlingsays (08 Nov 2022 11.13am)

Yep, especially with a coalition. The Tories have absolutely ruined that eighty seats majority, what an opportunity. They still have 13 months left. Thus, the Tories claim that the immigration crisis is a consequence of the provisions of the Human Rights Act, lefty lawyers exploiting loopholes, Labour opposition, red tape etc. Yet they have had a huge majority + mandate to amend the Act and streamline the process for 3 years. Why haven't they?

I'm still trying to get my head around the reality that our Conservative government has signed off on bankrolling Nairobi's Railway City project to the tune of £3 Billion while our economy is on its knees and vulnerable people have to face the prospect of eating or heating. For me, it highlights the disconnect between those who hold power and their people. There is a kind of contempt for the national bread and butter and a virtue signalling eagerness to be the globalist 'good boy' amongst the WEF elites. What the background, and rationale, is for this is unknown to me but there must be one. However the idea that we can ignore the importance of dealing with climate change during an economic crisis needs to be solidly rejected. It's even more important not to lose focus or momentum at this time. For the sake of our children, grand children and all who follow we must ensure we not just keep on track but go further and faster. That doesn't mean we leave the weak and vulnerable to suffer now. It does mean that those of us who can afford it will have to contribute more. We mustn't sit in the shade and do nothing. Expecting impoverished nations to be able to do what's necessary without help isn't realistic. Helping them eventually helps us too. If that requires our leaders to take painful decisions on our behalf, because they know it's in our ultimate best interests, then that's what they must do. It won't win them any popularity contests. As Biden will soon provide the evidence for. I don't though want populists as our leaders. I want leaders as our leaders.

Why haven't they? Indeed, but we both know why. Since Cameron, the Tory party has been filtered via selection to be pro WEF and globalistic in nature...well as much as it can be. Part of that is an agreement with the principle of immigration as the means it keeps the wages down and increase the tax base. This policy is essentially Europe wide. Anyone with sense knows that's a pyramid scheme and that immigrants grow old too, but hey...it's all about kicking the can down the road....something that could be on democracy's tombstone one day. This is of course at variance with the majority of its membership's views on this issue. So to square that circle they periodically thrown their base verbal 'red meat' about intent but in practice do nothing but increase actual immigration. So they lie to their own....I mean this stuff about the human rights act, the refugee act 1951, they have literally known about this for decades. They know what they would have to do....It's performative. More of the base are realising this but it's kind of too late....they have voted Tory for decades and have the knowledge and fear that Labour are coming for their pensions and wealth.....then again, the kind of dark reality of modern day economics means that so will the Tories. I'm not that much of a fan of 'house price' conservativism as it's as shallow as ditch water, but then again I feel for any group of people who have been lied to, whether it's right or left. Politicians should represent their people far more than the hotbed of scheming, spinning and misleading that modern day politics became. Edited by Stirlingsays (08 Nov 2022 2.53pm)

It's all quite insane.....the older I get the more I view it like some badly written tragi comedy. Can it really be real that they just continue to borrow to fund foreign projects while our food banks struggle heading into winter? There's a kind of farcical absurdity to it.

1960s - Oil gone in ten years......Errrr no. You know what did happen though....your taxes went up a hell of a lot and your standard of living went down. But not for those at the top, nor for those advocating for 'climate change'. Personally I do see a collapse, but it sure isn't from the weather....it's from the ever increasing massive interest payments and market confidence in solvency. Massive wealth transfer has been going on for a considerable time. Edited by Stirlingsays (08 Nov 2022 7.23pm)
