Well said. Agree with every word. Originally posted by sydtheeagle
You know what? If it is just a box-ticking exercise by Parish (which I seriously doubt) then it's one I applaud. Vieira's contemporaries, Shearer, Lampard, Gerrard, Neville, Keane, etc. (guess what?, all of them white) all walked into top-level jobs with no qualifications whatsoever and no one complained that I can recall. Each was far less qualified than Vieira is now. Vieira, just as good a player as any of them, has actually paid his management dues so why are people questioning his suitability for our job? It only gives fuel to those who raise the obvious question of why so few minorities get managers'jobs. Perhaps now we know. Edited by sydtheeagle (29 Jun 2021 8.37pm)

Based on....? My overriding conviction is that it's not Vieira. Logic, based on known events, suggests it'll be Favre. I don't claim Dazza's clairvoyant powers but that's where I'd put my money. But what do I know?

The third word in , COULD. The beeb are just as bad as all the others. No journalism here just following the herd.

"It is that you must always remain careful about what one can hear and say, because as long as there is nothing signed, anything can happen my dear Darren. Let’s say it’s a diplomatic answer!" Patrick Vieira on Bein sport when asked if he was the new Palace manager.

Patrick Vieira on Bein sport when asked if he was the new Palace manager. Is that translated from French, or can we look forward to more of this exciting turn of phrase? It's hardly 'Obviously Clive the boys gave 100%'.
