Being a bit cynical, I'd argue that May flouted the agreed cessation of national campaigning in her speech today. If she (the Prime Minister, by the way) had said nothing, you'd have accused her of hiding. Damned if she does etc. If your treasonable rabble can't make inroads in Scotland (which they won't), I suspect you're going to be a heartbroken bunny next Friday. They won't even need to count the Tory votes, just weigh them.

They are just getting desperate as Corbyn flounders on the TV and 'D' day approaches ! Evidently 5% of the population are going to pay for massive spending spree and business is going to boom on the back of a significant increase in 'Corporation Tax' ! 'Money trees' and a 'Letter to Santa' spring to mind. Out now with some Tory chums ! Edited by Willo (03 Jun 2017 7.35pm) We are talking about the Tories, who have no costsed manifesto, right?

We are talking about the Tories, who have no costsed manifesto, right? We have set out our spending plans in the budget and various budget statements. We don't deal in 'Fantasy economics' like Corbyn and his comrades. At the end of the day they have pledged £48Billion, saying that 5% of the population will see an increase in taxes. And they will hit businesses with a significant increase in 'Corporation taxes', businesses which generate jobs and wealth ! And you talk of "Uncosted" pledges - only last week, on top of the £48Billion, Labour announced a further £9Billion in uncosted pledges. They must think we are all born yesterday. To stop me from getting on my political 'Soapbox' I think I will leave it at this on this thread else it will turn into another tedious WILLO thread. Both my wife and daughter are sick to the back teeth of seeing me on this 'Soapbox' and they cannot wait for the election to be over. Edited by Willo (04 Jun 2017 6.14pm) Its time for rich people and corporations to contribute to society which they have not done, why the tories cannot see this just escapes me. It is only fair and apart from anything else they have the money.

And do we ever stop bombing the places where these terrorists were born and trained? Even when the Manchester bomber was sent to Libya to fight in these wars, even when MI6 tells us of the link between terrorism and our foreign policy? No, the military industrial complex rolls on, unscathed, even when it is a clear contributor to these actions!
If punk ever happened I'd be preaching the law, instead of listenin to Lydon lecture BBC4 |

It is only fair and apart from anything else they have the money. What escapes me, is why you think companies will hang around to be fleeced by communist-lites like you. As for 'it is only fair', fair to whom? Then what do you do when you have spent the money on various socialist projects doomed to failure? Don't tell me, you will start rounding up the enemies of the people who you will say are responsible for the failures.
We have now sunk to a depth at which the restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men. [Orwell] |
