You can be quite sure that if it was a proven fact that the BBC charter would ensure it was dealt with.

That as the BBC are bound by their charter obligations I think any perceptions of bias are in the eye of the beholder. Read this:-https://www.bbc.co.uk/editorialguidelines/guidelines/impartiality

As the BBC upset both the right and the left the evidence for impartiality is actually quite strong.

How do you know that any "liberal or PC fascist" conspired to stop the extent of the abuse becoming public knowledge? I don't think anyone yet knows exactly why things were handled as they were but I am quite sure that whatever was done, was done in good faith. You can argue that hindsight has shown it to be wrong but not the motives of those taking the decisions at the time. We can all be clever dicks once the fog of uncertainty has cleared and the need to support the Police by avoiding compromising their investigations has gone away. We just don't know all the circumstances and those arm chair experts who think they do don't help. That's why people like "Robinson" are not actually making things better by stirring up hatred. I don't know if there was a cover up anymore than you do. I also don't know if the media exercised voluntary restraint or whether they were requested to. I am not defending, or condemning any of these things. I am though defending the attacks on the motivations of the decision makers who I am certain thought they were doing the right thing.
