Of course the usual complaints about tactics, set up etc., how much sweeter would it have been for you if we had lost by three or four. In a results business, I know who I would rather be this morning out of Potter and Hodgson.... Just goes to prove we've got the players but not the manager.

If you are content with that performance yesterday, and this season in general then I think the distance is too great for any middle ground for the conversation. Credit where credit is due Roy got the result. But for me that type of performance is totally unacceptable. We were lucky, we all know it. Lets not dress it up that it suddenly vindicates Roys approach to the game of football. However he has it appears been able to fire up the lads to put in a performance. Shape and putting their bodies on the line wise they gave everything.

I'm elated with the win and hope it will put some consistent fight, belief and purpose back in the team. Very happy to bask in the glory of a completely undeserved win, it's hilarious. Our lose/lose/win form will likely be enough to see us ok this season. But it doesn't mask over the problems we have and how unsustainable this style of football is. It's right and my preferred outcome that Roy goes at the end of the season rather than during the season run-in, which is instability we don't need.

Glad we won but the Manager has to go. Totally agree. I suggest to those who are berating fellow fans go have a re-read of yesterday's match thread. Full of "we're s***", "Hodgson has to go", "we can't string two passes together" type comments and more, the mood was very different then. Let's be honest: everyone was expecting Brighton to get a second goal.

The summer will be the right time to address all issues with play/personnel and I'm content for Roy to battle it out until then.

The inference being that you would not wish to see Mr Hodgson on the managerial 'Throne' next season. Perhaps he will feel it will be time to call it a day and retire with dignity in the knowledge that he met his objective and kept us in the PL season after season so he will be leaving on a 'High'.

Why a slap in the face, we are anti Roy tactics, not anti Palace and I thought he gave a perfect audition last night of exactly what he believes in football. 10 men behind the ball and hopefully a fluke goal. It was an appalling watch save the two bits of sublime skill from our centre forwards and I defy anyone to say otherwise.

So when we win its all down to the players. When we lose its all down to the manager. Basically yes. Hodgson sets us up to defend for our lives every week without one ounce of interest in attacking. Suicidal tactics but now and again he's going to get lucky like he did last night and thats down to the players scoring 2 goals from 2 shots on target. He most definitely doesn't set us up to win games even if he thinks he does. The man has instilled a mentality in most of those players that could literally ruin a player, he's also destroyed any enjoyment and excitement for most fans for the past 2 years. Obviously we all went mad when that goal went in but for me even a last second goal against them at their own place was missing something and its because of him. I will celebrate harder than I did last night when I see a massive headline that says "Hodgson leaves Palace"

But if he'd gone for it and we played more attacking and open, with that set of players and conceded five the Roy haters would have had a field day. Well done Roy!

For me, it’s a results business and this is the best set of results we have had across a premier league season. The fans who keep highlighting the stats of yesterday’s game have such short memories. Premier League Stats; Apart from the beginning of his reign, we have not been the relegation zone once and all this on a shoestring budget and a transfer strategy of premier league rejects and freebies (excluding Eze) Imagine what we could achieve if we got behind the manager and backed him like other managers have been with 6-7 good additions. It’s crazy that our most successful premier league manager of all time is not wanted by a minority of fans and what’s worse, we still criticise the manager even when we win.
