The full interview is interesting, although would agree the specific question clipped above is a stupid one. No shocks that Farage is off on his travels already - I don't expect he'll be seen in Clacton more than a handful of times. Pathetic that our system allows it to be honest. Be fair. These are exceptional circumstances.

Ask yourself what would the story be if it was Biden who almost got assasinated and is now walking around with a bandaged ear? The US would be burning.

He's there for two days and it's his mate, I don't really have a problem with that. If it were two months then I'd agree with you.

It’s two days this time - I expect there will be lots more to come. I don’t think he has any interest in the actual work of being an MP.

I would suppose that one could level that accusation at plenty of them.

Keir starmer took a private jet to watch a football match. Nigel farage went to the US to see his friend who was nearly killed at the weekend.

You’re comparing the prime minister with a constituency MP, as well as comparing a national sporting event that you’d expect the PM to attend, with a political rally in another country.

I suspect he'll be over there for Trump's final push (if Trump makes it). However, Farage also loves making speeches in Parliament.

Raising the possibility and then using it to justify an opinion? How Trumpian. Surely the possibility was raised by him appearing to wear an excessively large bandage which was reinforced when who did the bandaging was disclosed? Perhaps it’s completely necessary but to many it doesn’t look very likely. Would Biden do the same?

Imagine the audacity of wearing a bandage after being shot and injured. Boggles the mind really why anyone wear one after being shot. Edited by eaglesdare (18 Jul 2024 3.05pm)

Edited by eaglesdare (18 Jul 2024 3.05pm) According to my wife all that seems likely to have been needed was a clip and a small plaster to hold it in place. No need to make a fuss and draw attention. Just be a big boy and get on with it. Not ask Mummy Ronny to put a big bandage on it to impress all my friends.
