Civilians are being killed on both sides – currently continued indiscriminate firing of rockets into Gaza, a territory of mainly civilian population is not proportionate. A school in Palestine has just been bombed with 4000 people sheltering in it. Unconfirmed reports just now of Israeli planes striking a Hospital. A school. A Hospital. Putting aside the fact that civilian buildings like that are supposed to be firmly off the table – Maybe 100 of those people were terrorists, maybe they weren't. Let me pose a question: You are walking alone down a street when you are approached by three men who look threatening. As you approach each other one of the three throws a punch at you and hits you. You throw a punch back and the guy falls to the ground. For good measure you hit the other two as they look threatening and you do enough to be able to run away unhindered. You felt threatened and hit the bloke in self defence. You still felt threatened by the other two, so for your safety you decided to incapacitate them. Have you done something immoral? Apparently 6 people out of 4,000 killed. All these reports are from Hamas, so of course they must be absolutely true.

I am trying to say that sometimes if you are attacked you have to hit back harder to protect yourself.
