What is it that attracts you to the idea of living under a totalitarian regime exactly? What is it about losing your rights and freedoms that appeals? So many display islamaphobic tendencies on here yet seem to cherish the idea of living under the rule of a leadership that would be darn close to living under the Islamic state.
Others who claim to be proud nationalist and display jingoistic rhetoric heralding Great Britain and the empire and the victory in the world wars, but also seem to be beckoning on a world where we are governed by parties more akin to nazism than a party who would oppose Nazism. This isn’t in any way a dig or an excuse for an argument. It’s just my opinion as I see it and would like to get some answers around it if possible?

Perhaps it is the ‘right’ that are the ones that are prepared to halt or reverse what some of the electorate don’t like. If the middle ground doesn’t deliver then either the left or the right will gain momentum, as is happening in various parts of Europe.
Islamophobia needs to be explained; is anybody on here calling for the death penalty for somebody who is practicing Islam? Or is it that some fear Islam because of what it practices and would prefer it not to be given a freedom that conflicts with our own beliefs? You need to explain what has caused you concern.

hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing.

What on earth goes on in your head?

This country in WW2 wasn't progressive or socially liberal but was socially conservative, yet had a world war with National Socialism.

Yet in your world you are so obsessed with Nazis that it just doesn't compute. You can't understand how that could happen because you seemingly equate both societies as the same.

Speaking of which the name Nick Gusset came up on the BBS the other day, they really hate him, always find that odd that the left eat their own.

The BBS is primarily Blairite with a smattering of hard lefties and minority voices.

Gusset isn't just left wing. He is completely bonkers.

The right wing in Europe is growing due to the absurd immigration policy of European governments.
A policy that has seen a massive rise in sexual and violent crime, organised crime, terrorism and religious and cultural friction across Europe. We also face the virtual replacement of Europeans at the current rate which those on the left are still idiotically calling a far right conspiracy theory.

If you are comparing a backlash to that to Islamic fundamentalism, then you need to seek help.

Socialists only in name. Hitler admitted that he only gave them that name to make them sound more appealing. They were nothing like socialists though.

Nor were Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Honecker, Ceausescu, etc. Funny how as soon as it starts going wrong they aren't real socialists.
And if it needs saying this isn't a defence of Hitler or anything he stood for.

Find me the actual quote where he said that, because I think you will find it's second hand.

They were socialists within their time and their policies proved it. So the charge that it was 'only in name' is just not true.

How they differed from the likes of you was that they weren't internationalists....which is the tradition you took from the communists....but they were nationalists.

You see socialism didn't come in one version.

Besides your favourite obsession of the Nazis, you are dodging the main point.

It's the post I wrote at 4:55 today.

I'm basically making the point that the people who defeated the Nazis were much more socially conservative than the people you're comparing to the Nazis today.

If they can be in your face and abusive then this is just the reaction.

No one's doing it to anyone respectful.

One person is standing up for what they believe in.
The other is being intentionally antagonistic.
I hear you, they probably have the right to respond.
But it's just a bit petty.
