I really don't understand why in a day and age when almost every team has black players that idiot supporters dish out racist abuse.

Millwall supporters are especially stupid seeing as one of their best players on the day was black

Amazingly, they have some black fans too.

However I suspect this is in relation to Millwall fans chanting Chelsea Rentboy at Conor and Take it up the Arse at Palace fans in general both of which were apparently quite loud on TV. There is plenty of video footage out there (most from the Millwall end) so fans will be easy to identify.

I didn't find either of the chants to be particularly offensive. There was far worse being shouted at us.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

With respect, when Guehi played the ball to Butland the two Millwall players who pressed him were outside the area.Perhaps fingers can be pointed at Andersen who was ball watching and allowed Afobe to run off the back of him and pressurise Butland.

No!

Andersen was in the perfect position, he was in space and offered himself to receive what should have been the most obvious and straightforward pass from Butland to relieve the pressure. Had Andersen tracked Afobe he would no longer have been Butlands ‘out ball’.

Ridiculous observation/suggestion from someone who has obviously not played or coached the game.

For the reason that Andersen was ball-watching and Afobe got a free run behind him to challenge Butland.Andersen reacted when he saw the danger but it was too late.Had Andersen tracked Afobe he would have been near Butland and possibly in a position to prevent or block a shot.
I accept there will be some, probably many, who will conclude that I am being harsh on Andersen and spouting hogwash.

Defenders certainly shouldn't be tracking a man to our own 6 yard box when we have the ball.

Andersen did exactly the right thing in pulling wider to create a passing option for Butland - it's not his fault Butland messed it up.

Well done Lads and overall job Well done. Overcame a 'keeper howler, so credit where it's due.

Seems we weren't at the office in the first half, and looked somewhat jaded - largely keeping them at arms length.

whatever Viera said @ halftime worked a Treat. for the first 15-20 mins we played some great stuff, Olise, obviously, but Eze can into his own on the other flank. We lost something when he was replaced by Eduoard, and seemed to sit back a lot more.
On that performance, Eze and Olise should start a lot more together. Mateta didn't impress me too much; but plenty of players are anonymous before scoring a goal, "all it takes is a moment".
Still, I'd prefer Tekkers, Eduoard or Zaha as the striker over him .

"It was a Team effort, I guess it took all players working together to lose this one"

Why wouldn’t we have black fans?? You really think Millwall games are like one big KKK meeting?

Just because the knee gets booed (I don’t boo, for the record) doesn’t mean that everyone booing is a racist. A lot of people just don’t like BLM and the fact that they smashed up and defaced THEIR city a couple of summers ago. They find them divisive, and feel they cause more problems than they solve. That’s their opinion and they’ve a right to it. Doesn’t make them all racist.

We’ve got plenty of black fans and we, us snarling racists, have voted black players as our player of the season on numerous occasions. There are lots black people who are seen as Millwall legends, both on and off the pitch, down The Den and held in very high regard down there.

It is obvious what Andersen was thinking but if he looks over his shoulder and sees the run of Afobe then I suspect he tracks the run.

I have made my case, clearly others disagree and I really have nothing more to add.HOL would be poorer if it was merely an 'Echo chamber'.
I shall ignore the slurs about me not being qualified to make judgements etc etc etc.

On a positive note, credit to our team for coming back from a goal down in front of howling rottweillers and scoring two excellent goals to win.Well done!

This clean up of football banter is all about the protecting the global brand. I don't particularly enjoy seeing grown men act like children, but my worry is where it will all end. You keep moving the goalposts of behaviour and we eventually become robots.

Because of people like this. [Link]

I was on the train from London Bridge to South Bermondsey and heard more racism in the 10 minutes I was on the train than I have probably heard in the last 5/10 years.

And whats with the Millwall double H stickers?

I’m not saying there aren’t individuals who support Millwall who are racist. Of course there is. Show me a club in the country that doesn’t have any racist fans. But the way some are going on on here, surprised that we have black fans and black players, my life. And you just know it’s because of the booing of the knee. Booing of the knee, must be racist. Ha

I don’t know what you heard on the train but in the past 20 years I’ve barely heard anything racist at Millwall, a couple of individual comments that’s it.

Yep. I mean up to a couple of years ago you lot was happily singing homophobic abuse to Brighton fans on a regular basis. Now it’s not the done thing, and you’ve all jumped on the latest PC bandwagon and people on here saying the Chelsea rent boy chants were out of order. You couldn’t make it up.
