Agreed Oxford. If Zaha could have controlled himself and stayed down rather than attempting a retaliation, then (1) he would have avoided his yellow card, and (2) referee Moss would have had little option but to have given a red card on the spot. I have always thought this is the type of behaviour that can only be punished by scoring goals against...Spurs were already clearly rattled, and 5 minutes later justice was done when Tanganga fouled JA and got the red. Wilfs weakness is his temper; he should try some meditation practice. That said, a most satisfying performance. This team is better than I have seen for some while, but we have to accept we will not win every game; we bought well in the closed season, but we don't have the money of Mank City. Cant wait for Eze to return! Bring on the Bin Dippers next Saturday! He said that as the game had been reported on in the Sunday Times, and the match had taken place 2 days ago, they now write ' themed ' reports on the Monday.

My response was ;

* Then don't headline it as a match report if it isn't
* Surely he could have written a piece on a player from the winning team rather than a squad player for the losers !

To be fair, he conceded those points although came out with the excuse that due to Covid restrictions, he had no access to the likes of Gallagher or Edouard and so was unable to write about them - which I don't accept...he didn't speak with Winks either !

I had wanted Nuno, but it may be we lucked out on not getting Nuno after all. Time will tell. There is a massive disconnect between the volume of things Garth Crooks says and the amount of sense he makes. Ridiculous to say we wouldn't have won without the red card. the penalty incident at least would likely have still happened.

Thanks for the explanation NEILLO. I see what you mean by 'flimsy'. In fairness, the ST report was a good one, but I like to see as many reports as I can. Only when we win mind!

It's not the first time I've noticed that our own players seem to let him go off like a loose cannon.
