Heard from a couple of sources now that there was a bit of a mexican stand off at the airport gates between uk Paratroopers and US troops, things apparently turned quite nasty as US troops wouldnt let the paras in... Also Biden is not extending the US staying beyond the end of the month they're leaving thousands of their own behind...

There seems to be no credible or verifiable reports from any sources in Afghanistan that make it to the media. This won't just be humiliating for the USA, it is potentially putting civilian lives and military lives at risk. The only way it's going to be resolved is by the use of a huge amount of military hardware, else some brown envelopes stuffed with $$$ will be air-dropped to the Taliban, in order to evacuate people. Meanwhile China will be preparing to take more islands in the Pacific and Russia will be getting ready to extend its borders. I wonder how many weeks, months or years it will take for truths to reach the media. Probably after any elections, when bad news can be less distracting. And did anyone else see who won Love Island ?
