If Rafa were interested you'd have to seriously consider him, but I doubt he is interested, and if people are fed up with Roy parking the bus (Parish included possibly?) then Rafa is hardly the man you want. He would very likely have set us up in many games exactly the same way Roy has done. And I don't think Howe deserted Bournemouth just bcos of relegation - it must have been a big step leaving that particular club and he was probably burnt out - I think it's the same with Wilder. There are always pros and cons but I'm one of many on here who think the pros far outweigh the cons re Howe, and despite everyone's opinion on Howe's merits, the key opinion belongs to Parish, and given his track record of appointments I can see Howe as top of the list, certainly above Terry or Lampard, and easier logistically than Dyche with that involving possible compensation and agreement to negotiate with Burnley's new owners.

Mind you in some ways it would be neat to have three SPs - Selhurst Park, Steve Parrish, Scott Parker.

But unfortunately I can see Eddie Howe coming so he better be a lot, lot better than I currently think he is!

I’d like to think that if Fulham did go down and we appointed Scott Parker, then he may be able to attract with him a few of the better Fulham players. We desperately need a freshen up and they do have some very good players who would want to stay at the top level.

I've been saying Rafa ever since he left Newcastle, I think if Steve was to really go after him he'd be our manager next season.

Article in todays Sunday Times - not looking for a payday and just wants to coach, preferably in the Premier League.

He's certainly not interested in us. He wants a project with a competitive PL club and Spuds might just fulfil that criterion.

We might as well keep Roy, it’ll be just as defensive

Lets say your correct, still a no brainer to bring the younger replacement in.

Agree- we need a younger manager, younger squad. But let’s bring in a younger manager that is better and achieved more than the one we have got.

We all want progression and that means recruiting better than what you have.

Why?? Newcastle were dull as dish water with him in charge, he comfortably kept them in the division grinding out results, but they were never going to progress any further with him, sound familiar?

Most of their better players are on loan - RLC, Lookman, Andersen, Maja, Areola and Aina - so we can go after them in the summer anyway.

If I was Spuds I would be looking at Parker to takeover. He looks like someone who would thrive with a quality squad. We would need to overhaul our squad to play the way Fulham do and I don't think we'd have the budget.

If Parker is as good as you think he is, why with those quality players have they been in the bottom 3 most of the season and relegation most likely?
The truth is he isnt that good, just looks smart in his fancy clothing.

Fair point ,but think he and team took a while to adapt to the premiership, but they have adjusted better now albeit a bit late.
