It's a bargaining position, and he'll be driven down from that Not sure he will. Would have been the case when we were the only suitor, but now our shadows West Ham have joined the pitch... Agree with other comments. We are seeking to drive down our salaries, but £60kpw is not excessive in today's market.

Far too exciting for us. Look at how Villa thrashed Liverpool. How Leeds are playing. Fast attacking football. Not for the 2 dimensional Palace. We keep men back then rely on fast counter. Not so easy at home. These new young managers are really stirring up the boring football method. Great to watch. Not for us. Boring staid safe. That’s the way. Hope to stay lower mid. I’m sure we will. Dean Smith, Bielsa, new young managers?

We've paid Wickham £60k a week to sit on his arse for the past four years. Doesn't seem too excessive for the best player in the Championship. I was desperate for us to sign Bowen and now he's tearing it up for West Ham. If I have to watch Benrahma do the same I'll tear my ever decreasing hair out.

On this surely some sort of minimum performance level has got to come in relation to players contracts, especially given current circumstances. Even if it’s reduced wages whilst injured - bet you’d see players recovering far quickly and flying out of the treatment room onto the training field if clubs introduced that..!! Otherwise with salaries at this level what incentive is there to get fit and make yourself available for selection? After all normal employment contracts have a limitation in terms of full sickness pay - sowhy are footballers any different? Can you imagine Wickham on SSP - LOL..!! Crazy.. COYP

Meyer £125k a week not to play, Benteke £120k a week not to score, Sakho £100k a week and has a howler virtually every game. Madness.

Whatever he was going to bring to the team was coached out of him .. An absolute waste of talent and 30 mill by the time he leaves next summer for nothing , where back in Germany he will show what we could of had.
