More than likely he was stitched up by a chap he met at a nightclub. I couldn’t really care less about that carry on. Everything looks worse when taken out of context. But what I do care about is that he doesn’t want to be at Palace but where are these bids going to come from? It won’t be Arsenal, So now he probably has 1 club in the premier league who may sign him in Everton.

I'm more frustrated by the lack of respect he showed the fanbase via his performances since the Bournemouth game. I know the whole team was bad but he was in the bottom half of performances virtually every game which, for a player who has a belief he should be starting for a club competing in the knockout stages of the Champions league, is pretty pathetic. I'd be disappointed if he still is here at the start of the season because we'll just end up with our own Bale situation. If Arsenal would do a swap for Nelson and Maitland-Niles, no cash, that'd be an incredible deal for us. Can't see it unfortunately.

It's time for him to leave now ... simple! Personally, i don't think he'll ever set the world alight at a 'big' club, due to his attitude. He'll be a good player at that level not a great one ...

He's on a night out having a good time with his friends. He shouldn't have to be professional all the time. People who are upset by this are clearly oversensitive. We aren't setting up to play to Zaha's strenghts. It's no wonder he wants to leave. Yet many of you think that getting rid of our most talented player at a bargin basement price will fix the problems we have.

Arsenal have already spent their money on Pepe, and Ozil's wages. They laid off 50 staff last week to save £2.5m on their wage bill. Only other option is Everton. Good luck to him earning the same wages, living on Merseyside, playing for a bigger club. Hopefully Champions League football is just around the corner for him, as Everton continue with their big push to become a top European side. I hope it all works out for him.

Arsenal’s problem now is their matchday revenue was huge. Not now it isn’t and will affect them in comparison to the competition, especially with the directors’ annual dividends and payments turning a competing football club into just a wage payer. Surprised the fans don’t pull together and boycott various things for significant periods.

I agree with you I can not see them selling Nelson but Maitland Niles is possible. I wonder if they would sell/swap Pepe they went for him because they felt our price was too high for Zaha. I think they would consider a swap deal with us getting some money too (or Maitland Niles). They rate MN at £30 million which in current climate is too high and Pepe on open market has dropped from last year price by at least 50%. That values Zaha at about £55 million which is fair

Even leaving sentiment out of it, let's not forget that he's under contract and being paid handsomely. It isn't our fault that nobody has bid an acceptable amount for him, if they did he would go. I don't think anybody thinks selling our best player will help us but at this point what other option do we have when he's not even trying to pretend that he wants to stay?

Lets not forget that not only did it not work out for him at Man U, but he was not well received on loan at Cardiff later that season, in what turned out to be a relegation season for them. And in my view he was a better player then. Should have got his head down this season and proved his worth. Chose to sulk instead and now looks very ordinary.

Excellent post which I would imagine at least 95% of us Palace fans would agree with.
