I am not for a moment suggesting that the views of the people posting here are totally disconnected from those who achieved a majority last Thursday. Of course they aren't but that majority is very far from being a homogeneous group. It contains previous Labour voters who felt obliged to abandon their roots and those who would have voted for Farage if he hadn't stood down their candidates. Now which of those two groups do you think the majority of posters on this site most closely resemble? The point being answered had nothing to do with my opinions about that group. It was responding to a rather snide comparison and nothing else. Diverting a discussion as a method of avoiding the issue is a favourite tactic here and it is again being used. Nothing was said about Brexit or anything else. Jeez, youre boring! Every post is telling just how stupid we all are.....we should try going on a 'more liberal forum'...NO THANKS I prefer the FOOTBALL forums, thats why I am here....why are you? Clearly NOT for any football reasons, if you want to tell people they are stupid, either YOU go on a more liberal forum, OR maybe actually go to a game and tell people face to face that they are stupid.....probably wouldnt advise the second option.... easy to slag people from your keyboard in Truro isnt it? Im in Truro on Sunday, I'll look out for you!! Wish this board had an ignore button!

When we have PR then that remark will have some validity. Right now we have the will of a minority who have given it to a party who regard their MPs as just lobby fodder. Who is actually deciding the policy direction from here on is unknown but it isn't the people and their representatives! Actually 52% is a MAJORITY in everyone elses world!

In politics, Oppositions attack Goverments, the Governments attacks the oppositions so why Trump has been highlighted in this manner is somewhat befuddling. I really think that the debate is veering of the rails and perhaps should return to the subject matter - so "Who is to blame?" !!!! Edited by Willo (17 Dec 2019 7.39pm) Ouch - that was a *burn*!

So that's the second time today that you have craftily referred to posters here as stupid Please show me where, craftily or not, I have referred to anyone as stupid? It is perfectly possible to not comprehend something and that to be the fault of the way the message is delivered and not the way you receive it. It is also perfectly possible for people to not pay attention, for many reasons, to the detail and get the wrong end of the stick. Doesn't mean they are stupid. Just distracted. Methinks thou doth protest too much!
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |
