Unfortunately this game was scheduled for Tuesday instead of `Wednesday. Therefore RH should Have made changes to Saturday’s team. Bringing in 2 or 3 fresh players may have made all the difference. However we have such a weak bench perhaps RH had no choice after the dismal performance by the bench in the Middlesbrough game. This is a shocking state of affairs and perhaps the chairman should be paid more on the performance of the team.

Saturday was a huge game against a fellow struggler and we needed what the manager felt was the best team on the pitch to get a result. Also as you say we have a very weak squad beyond about 11 at the moment.

I don't understand this hostility towards Schlupp. He has been no worse than any other player this season.
Fans favourite, AWB, and Tompkins have had bad games, including last night, but they don't get the same level of abuse. I don't understand why (not that they should be getting abuse either).

You know what I agree with this week... Every week it's the same thing off the bench... Jeff f***ing Schlupp and Alex Sorloth... Both of them completely inept and totally useless.

I'm not saying that Williams and KaiKai our going to be Messi but does anyone actually think they would be worse than those 2 s***houses??

Didn’t get to the game, but listened to the coverage on the radio. That must have been torture to everyone that got a ticket for last night. Trust me listening to the radio wasn’t any better.

The players have got to hold their hands up for a totally inept performance, there was no one last night who could say they had an ok game. If we do not see a response next Saturday after that, then there is something very wrong going on in the background.

Over to the players and Roy, you owe us one...

Roy can’t have it both ways.
On the one hand he says he’s happy with the squad and the choice of strikers, on the other he says that he has no options to make changes from the bench and almost seems to see defeats when he makes substitutions as a vindication of this.
One of the statements logically has to be incorrect.

He’s clearly old school and doesn’t believe in publicly criticising the players or the way the club is run. Most of what he says in these interviews are straight bat answers. Not read it directly but told he let his guard down and complained at one press conference that we won’t improve signing other team’s reserves.

Well at least Burnley have bollocksed it up and Saints are getting tanked. And if Fulham can turn Leucester over then so can we.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

I am in the freak result category. A penalty that should not have been given and then 2 goals from players who would not have been on the pitch if there had been no sending off or injury to Murray. Definitely suffered from not having a strong enough squad to rotate the players. If only to have the back up players Man City have.
I think we had 29 goal attempts against Burnley but apart from the odd one here and there not many in this game despite playing against 10 men. Brighton defended very well and gave us little or no room.
Think the Sorloth criticism is unjust. He had no service and despite his height we continued to hammer in low balls to feet which were too easily intercepted or blocked which had not worked up until then.
Whilst we looked like scoring heaps against Burnley and none against Brighton the reality is we are somewhere in between and we should be able to survive.

Apparently we had 18 shots, 5 on target, more than I remember but I was shaking my head in disbelief through most of the match, so I may have missed a few.
