Yes, we actually are. Of course it was a bad tackle. Capoue should have been sent off. probably. It worked though, didn't it, and Zaha was quiet for the next 70 minutes. However, all this nonsense about career ending - nothing of the sort. It wasn't a bad tackle. It wasn't a tackle at all. It was common assault.

Not a pisstake, watford fans are exactly like that..No probably about it he shoud have been sent off and should face retrospective action, it was a deliberate pre arranged attack on Zaha...you wont be so happy when some thug takes pereraya out for 6 weeks will you???

Who do I believe about how serious this actually was, how dangerous, how much damage it could have done? a) Graeme Souness who has a lifetime of experience as a player giving and receiving dodgy challenges and subsequently; or b) some Watford fan who thinks dangerous play is funny?

Not laughing at the tackle. Laughing at you lot who want to report Capoue to the police for common assault. If it was another club forum coming out with this nonsense you'd be peeing yourselves.

No, we wouldn't. The failure of the football authorities to take dangerous play seriously and protect players from deliberate attacks like the one perpetrated by your player yesterday is treated with the utmost gravity in these fora. Maybe we have particular reason to be concerned about this, but the only circumstances in which we would be "peeing ourselves" would be if it were our player being accused and if he were wholly innocent (highly likely). For example, many of us were critical of Jason Puncheon when he appeared (false alarm, fortunately) to have injured de Bruyne in the final moments of our 0 - 0 home draw with Manchester City, and incident in respect of which he could very easily have been sent off. He however was not malicious and deliberate, as your player was, but merely clumsy and panicking. And in case you think the idea of players being prosecuted for deliberate attempts to injure opponents is that ridiculous: Now, be a good chap and f*** off to Away Fans. HTH. I really find it sad when 'fans' from other forums have to come on here and make stupid comments. Show me where anyone said they want to report him to the police. It was a horrific tackle, which I'm sure if it had happened the other way around you'd be on here saying what a dirty bunch of c***s palace were.

Every pundit is slamming the player and the ref. MOTD 2 no exception. Sadly, because the ref gave a yellow the punishment cannot be increased, should be a 3 match ban . We all like to have a vent on this blatant unfairness but just have to get back on the old horse and get ready to beat next one.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

If I were a Watford fan looking at that incident I'd be fairly worried because it demonstrates that they're capable of getting men sent off very early on and if Capoue and Wilf had received the decisions they respectively deseved Watford would probably have been turned over even though we were below par for much of the match. That of course assumes that I hadn't been lobotomised, which unfortunately would seem to be a requirement for Watford fandom if that moronic mascot is anything to go by. They were lucky to get out of that with three points and nobody suspended and I hope that that luck runs out pretty quick. I don't think a six match ban would have been out of order given that Antonio (I think?) got that for spitting at someone last season.

Superhorns3: I wasn't digging you out, you are a level-headed good poster who obviously understands football and I hope you continue to post. Having watched football for 50 odd years I cannot understand anyone defending that, it was so early it was obviously premeditated (ie discussed before the game) I can see that refs will now keep a very close eye on your lot but it seems they do this more against Wilf than anyone else. The next meeting should be interesting!
