Judging by the managers interview on MOTD he said something along the lines of management decide who is the penalty takers and players on the pitch should not change it. I think he will get competition and may try and replace him in January.

It would not suprise me if he went to Everton for very close to money we paid. He would be a like for Like replacement for Lukaku.

Gross indiscipline from CB and not far behind from our Captain Dann, hopefully his last game in this role.
Benteke should be heavily fined and made public.
Did loads of flick owns but nobody around to benefit!! Fed up of reading this, he can't score goals for love nor money (£120k a week) and this is what he needs to be doing and quick. Plus in the process working his socks off.......pink pig just flown over East Grinstead!

just woke up this morning , smiled at the trees and birds. And then realised the shock and horror of yesterday's fiasco with Benteke.

only one question :

which Championship club will take this plank off our books for 1 or 2 million quid tops. I would be happy to 'donate' him to millwall.

What’s done is done now.
Ben owes the players, management and fans massive and we will be looking for a massie response on Tuesday. So ben, my advice to you is enjoy your day off and on Monday after you’ve done your apologies, get down to some serious training, forget the big mr I am,and your showboating and pay back us all with a performance to be proud of on Tuesday.

I think Roy will leave him out Tue and go back to the Andros Wilf combo. He needs to apologise to his Manager. Luka the rest of his team mates and of course us fans.

Personally I think he should be sold in jan,No player bigger than club if we go down so be it .We played well if not better without him Sell him and get replacement, can’t be any worse than him his attitude stinks and players especially Luka won’t have any respect for him now .

Well, they do say that strikers have to be greedy.

And they have to be deadly in front of goal.

Benteke's almost there.

He's got the greedy part sorted.

The deadly part needs some work.

If you decide to take it and uou haven't scored for a whole, surely you just run up and hit it as hard as you can. He couldn't even do that right.

Apart from the fiasco at the end yesterday, Benteke had a decent game. He should be reprimanded for his errant behaviour and told to grow up ... he then needs to go out on Tuesday night to show everyone his true value and do what we all expect of him.

Agree with that - we badly need Benteke to score goals to keep us in this division. Yesterday he cost us two points but his play up to that pen was as good as I’ve seen him this season. Hopefully the club sorts this out and we move on stronger with him scoring more regularly to keep us up? Our next problem will be the next penalty given to us. It now puts more pressure on Luka to score as in his head will be the last fiasco?

I think it depends on his response after thd game. If he apologises and puts extra effort into training tomorrow he probably pays. Although roy was seriously p****d off, so who knows. Personally I'd start him on the bench.

yes, I agree with you. The best striker on the field scored two goals with his feet and just think, he could have been a Palace player a few months ago! What a fiasco allowing CB to take the penalty, another two points down the pan. Are we willing ourselves into the Championship? I really can't see Palace staying up now, we are unable to score more goals than the other side. Looking at the fixtures, I don't think we stand a chance. Without Zaha we would have 5 points on the board. Where was the management allowing us to enter another season with one striker that can't strike a ball even when it's sitting on a penalty spot! Then our next match is against Watford, then Leicester away, followed by Arsenal and Man. C. All over by the end of the year! sorry.

Yes had his best game, won flick ons and held the ball up but cant score. On his own, not good enough for me. Played as a two with an actual striker alongside him yes. I think if we can get some decent money back for him I think we should move him on.
