Just like to state again, we need a new keeper in Jan. But that being said after watching motd, I wouldn't really be to harsh on JS with the pass. Dann should have done better, if he wasn't happy with the pass he should just put his boot through it and give JS a piece of his mind. He didn't he tried to play the ball and got found out.

Sorry but I know we love Dann but really he should have done better.

I do wonder how Tomkins would do along side Sakho... not saying Dann needs to be dropped but the errors need to stop.

As for the pen, you can see why the ref gave it but at the same time that could have happened a thousand times to us and we'd not have been given one.

But a point is a point. Still need four wins from next 7 games.

Also hope the coaching staff can help Benteke get his form back.

The 6 teams above us, all look shocking and I suspect will catch them soon. I'd rather be where we are showing the ability we are than have a few more points like them yet look like their destined to drop down.

Not sure if we will purchase a goalkeeper in January.
We have tried and failed twice.McCarthy and Mandanda.
Rather than Dann putting his boot through it,Jules should of done that.

If you're going to use stats try these:

Benteke - 12,760 mins played. 67 Goals - 190mins per goal.

Gayle - 5,268 mins played. 39 Goals - 135mins per goal.

Not enough said.

Great belief in Gayle.
Perhaps a good move to bring him back in the summer to prepare for our assault to the top of the Championship.

Absolutely fuming at that result. We look really good going forward but defensive errors are killing us. The penalty looked extremely dodgy from where I sat but what was Jules doing ? Has Loftus -cheek a clause in his loan contract preventing him from shooting ?This is probably the best team I've seen at Palace but we just seem incapable of winning tight games at home and end up losing tight games away.

Wasn't it RLC's shot that Jimmy Mac put in on the rebound? Even I saw that from the Holmesdale. New glasses required.

39 premier league goals? Really?
Well let's get him back then he was always brilliant playing up top on his own.

The point is either could have. They both should have done better.

JS shouldn't have passed it, and Dann knows it. So he should have done what defenders do and put his boot through it.

He didn't, which imo makes him also capable.

I thought Niasse was a real handful all game. What we would give to have a striker like him right now.

Unfortunately these stats miss out some of the other attributes an EPL striker needs. Gayle could finish no-one will disagree with that but in other ways he is a passenger. He can't hold up ball, he can't tackle, he doesn't track back, He is too easily knocked off ball. While a strikers role is to score goals he also needs to do other things and Gayle doesn't.

Frankly, I wouldn't give anything to have a dirty cheat like him playing for us!

Not only did he dive for the penalty, but when he was brought down later on, he rolled about on the grass like he was terminally injured, all the while looking up from under his brows until the ref got the card out, at which point he grinned, got up and carried on as before.

No problem with a player who will occasionally 'take one for the team' as it were, or who will get it the timing wrong sometimes, but that sort of calculated cheating leaves me cold I'm afraid.

I didn't say bring back Gayle. Just presenting the stats. Benteke is ok, just a little lazy. I think we should sign Babacar if we can, now Tosun is out.

Is the correct answer.

Quite right, I forgot about that bit of playacting. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me! Makes the referee incompetent and Niasse simply scum IMHO.

Quite apart from not wanting our name sullied with this kind of s*** we all know that if we tried it red cards, suspensions, fines and nulle points would be all we would get. Even if the playing field were level it wouldn't be worth the risk either to our game or to our reputation.

I admire your standpoint... but I would rather stay in the Premiership by having a striker who can score goals. Niasse did more yesterday than Benteke did in the first 7 games.

Let's not forget our Wilf is prone to throwing himself to the floor at the slightest touch.
