I'd say the liablity is our chairman for not buying another two strikers, another winger, another right back and a goalkeeper. But at least we saved a couple of million on Sakho. Yep. And the couple of million saved on sakho won't be saved at all when we have to off load him desperately in January to save an even bigger loss that we'll take at the end of the season when we will have our championship/bankruptcy fire sale.

What was Parish's reaction when he heard 3-4-3 and it suiting our players? Did Parish even know it didn't and wouldn't without £100 mil? What was he doing when that cr@p was being tested in pre season with more holes than a string vest? Waiting for their next meeting on Skype so he could have his 7 holidays? Actually what was he thinking hiring him in the first place? No prem or top league experience? Rudi , I do not know the truths about what Frank said in the interview , I see people posting that he said said he would change the style gradually , if he did he lied . Did he say he thought 3-4-3 would suit our players better before or after he was appointed? As for the pre season , I could see it , you and certain other football knowledgeable posters could see it was disaster waiting to happen , but what could Steve do about it then ? You see the hand wringers despairing about Frank going after 4 games when it did prove to be a disaster , can you imagine the ruckus if he was sacked pre season ? I would not have minded but I suppose Steve was obliged to give Frank a few proper games.

I think we'll have a better idea after Chelski tbh Ha ha we've lost 7 from 7 in the league, scored zero and conceded 17, but to be fair we haven't played anyone any good yet, so no, we're not that bad. Judge us when we've played the likes of Huddersfield, Swansea, Southampton or burnley.

Actually was a little bit proud of the lads. Had a go in 2nd half, kept ball well in possession and thinking RLC in for Schlup, Fosu-Mensa for Ward, Zaha for Puncheon, Dann/Tomkins for DD and I feel all right with Lapedo on top. Riedewald is not bad either. Never easy making your debut at OT with 0-3 down...hope our Sako-substitute starts vs Chelsea. And further on if he delivers..

The result was of course no surprise. I cannot comprehend quite why he picked Delaney - Surely either Kelly or Riedewald would have been better. Sure to be 8 games with no points after we play Chelsea - then off to Newcastle ! We just have to hope some of the others around us also lose. Edited by Willo (30 Sep 2017 7.09pm)

Actually that's only how bad we were on the first day of the season. On another day we won the same fixture 1-0 with fewer first team men available. You might as well argue that we're better than Watford because they shipped six at home to City whereas we only shipped five away. It's a syllogism based on the falsehood that a team's performances are 100% consistent from game to game. That is especially not true in our case. live in a dream world if you wish!

Ok we now have another two weeks of embedding the managements ideas into the squad. We will then play Chelski and get beaten as we all expect but we will be better practiced at the style and formations that the management require before travelling to the North East. That will be the game that we can start our critical judgement. So far as MKCPFC has argued we have been coping with a legacy of a manager who has ruined the players confidence and totally confused them and played against the cream of the division.

Getting sick of the we=know-better-hypocrites on here. The majority said De-Boer was an ok appointment, the majority said we had to recruit Sakho. Everyone said the mistake palace made in the past was recruiting too many lower-priced but average players. Now it seems everyone knew the Sakho money should have been spent "on 4 quality signings" (please?) and that De-Boer was "a disaster waiting to happen" and Parish is "useless" because he wouldn't dip into his own pocket for a striker to replace 35m Benteke. Hindsight is such a great thing. I personally think we have suffered and are suffering from a great deal of bad luck and that plus having to start our period in the prem financially way behind most other teams means we will probably go down this season. To last 5 seasons we've had to take risks but eventually with all risk taking you will come unstuck and that is where we are right now.
