To be clear. I'm never offended by dark humour but that is quite offensive by normal standards.
Fortunately, unlike Kermit the sanctimonious, I see it as above the belt bants.

Methinks under the self-aggrandising veneer of 'rationality' and 'in control of your own thoughts' you are a contradictory, confused and screwed-up individual. But I like you as a poster all the same.

Did Aluko really put in writing that she objected to being called "a pain in the bum"

I think the Ebola comment was ill judged... But is it racist?

No-one comes out of this well.

There is a case for it being interpreted as don't bring that from that diseased or dirty or infested country, which are usually a different race and not developed white countries, but intended as a joke, which isn't a funny joke or funny subject.

It hasn't been dealt with well by anyone. In the case of her she sure should've brought it up earlier, but as she didn't, is it best she doesn't bring it up at all and let him continue putting his foot in his mouth? This is an issue because in women's football they've also lived in the real world and with women from different childhood backgrounds, education and childhood behaviour. She's the complete opposite to John Terry or Joey Barton.

I'm coming round to him deserving more severance pay rather than huge compensation. But that's now mucky because he was sacked for relationship sex with a 17 year old. A guy you'd swerve who has a bit of a case for things not being addressed probably more correctly at the time, not that he did nothing wrong.

Of course it ain't 'racist'. This woman decided she would assert herself in the way she knew would get noticed. Totally calculated.
The joke was tasteless and maybe a bit rude but 99.9% of people would have ignored it or told him to piss off and that would have been the end of it.

Maybe but neither were an option for her. He's a bit of a David Brent, but with the power to decide the tone and select people or not.

He should've avoided her or avoided feeling he had to maintain the jester role in the women's England team. If he didn't think educated Law graduate and a bit stiff or uptight meant his jokes may not go down as intended then he's clearly not clever enough to be funny. That's pretty obvious now.

Rudi Rudi Rudi

I can't go round in circles again today.
If you can't see that the definition of 'racism; has been stretech to fit an agenda here then I can't help you.
This whole case is as transparent as you can get and if you fail to see through it then it is more about a personal agend than reality.
To be clear, the taste or comedic quality of Sampson's jokes are not what this is about. It is about the manipulation of a set of circumstances to bring about an outcome with more than one party pursuing an agenda.

For me... her including being called a “pain in the bum” smacks of this being more than just a bad joke.
