This guy has an aura about him that all the top players have...he's calm and is a great passer of the ball as well as a great defender! To me he is one of the best available. And you have to pay the price these days for that! Still don't quite understand why. Liverpool want to sell him !

I do not think that we should be bullied by Liverpool into paying whatever they happen to want for him.
To say that it is good business to refuse to negotiate on the price is arrogance in the extreme.
Because we are little CPFC and they have the hump with us doesn't mean we have to bow to their call.
I would rather call their bluff and leave him there rather than bow to them.

Luckily you're not running the club then mate. Playing with the clubs premier league status to save face isn't really going to work if we get relegated as a direct consequence. This bloke pretty much saved our bacon in just 8 games with us last season. He gave us much more than £30 million by being a major part of the reason we stayed up. It's pretty obvious what he would be able to do for us in a whole season. Based on that, we shouldn't be worrying about our pride and Liverpool's arrogance and just get the deal done.

get him in MAN,,,,, without this mans contribution at the end of last season we would have been down.
So get this greate defender in and pay what they ask.
With him a tthe back Milo can do the job he is best at, and then we can start looking up at the top instead of looking over our shoulder to se who is coming from behind and catch us.
If we wanna play with the big boys, well then tou got to have some good players.
So pay up or,,,,,,,,

I don't think he's part of our plans, think we opt for martins indi who's available at 13m.

to be fair i was taking the piss out of the idiots who think we have unlimited finances and think we should just pay the 1st price stated.

for the record tho, martins indi is not mammadou sakho, hes not even half a sakho

I didn't say he was , if we do want 4 players. It's unlikely we will be spending 30m on 1 player.

I can see us not signing him, or getting anyone else on loan, then taking him in a last minute loan deal with an up front payment, if no one else comes in for him. Would get what we need without spunking this years budget. Need to get a deal at the end of the season , minus the upfront payment sorted 1st though.

We're not being "bullied". He's their player and they can ask what they want (as we can for any of ours). If we don't wish to pay the price then we move on. No club is under any obligation to negotiate on the price if they choose not to, whatever we might think.

This guy is a top defender....but this guy did his knee after eight games.

30 million on one player who could easily get injured is too much.

Liverpool will wait until the next transfer window....someone will be desperate.

I'm sure that the price would be the same whether it be your "little CPFC" or Barcelona who came in for him
