He isn't required to agree with you. Just as companies or corporations aren't required to pay the tax you think they should if they think a better deal lies elsewhere. Your politics isn't 'us, us, us' if the reality of it leads to 'less, less, less' is it.....and that less would hit the poor more. Especially since the 'progressives' had promised them the earth and in reality all they had to give them was dirt whilst they finger pointed and blamed the rich. The rich and better off are always going to protect themselves and any sensible person knows that from the start.
Consensus and compromise seem to have been eradicated of late. I always thought that was what politics was ultimately about. Hrolf is still using the thread to stalk me rather than sharing his thoughts on Treez. I'd really like to know them, then we can discuss them rather than him calling me a commie and me outing him as a secret blackshirt.

"Unease, that a society can go on in this direction with poverty and inequality alongside very rapidly rising huge individual wealth for a small number of people.” I think that's a fair assessment.

Inequality is a reality of existence. Are most people poorer than 50 years ago? Feel free to answer yes or no. What you actually want, what most would want is for all of us to have a better share of the pot.

What, like in North Korea you mean?

You spend lots of time throwing insults and accusations around but are the first one to go crying to the mods when you get it back. The idea that anyone 'stalks' you is a figment of your ego.

Not something to be proud of is it. And why are they going to be worse off? Because they've been screwed by neoliberalism. Comparing what it was like to be poor in the past to now is just excusing the fact we have many poor people - a lot of who work.

Manifesto launch in May and it is just into July.So Theresa May has failed in her promise to bring down immigration ? This is just pathetic and a desperate attempt to keep pace with the debate. You are treading water like a pedalo fighting the tide.

That's just the latest in a line of promises from a party that is too ashamed to show its racist roots.

Alas the Labour fantasy economics were the whole orchard. Sorry but what that backs up, I can point to the billions given to NI terror groups. Although not a fan of Labour, they did cost their manifesto unlike the Tories : They just thought they would get a landslide without the plebs holding them to account.
