The usual list of washed up has beens now we're without a manager-AGAIN-is totally f**king depressing. I hope we don't go with any of them. Totally pissed off this has happened, I had high hopes for next season with Allardyce in charge. How utterly dreadful.

Sean Dyche for me. I'm not convinced about Roy - too soft like Pardew. Mancini looks the goods but I'm still not sure. Oh sh1t. I was really enjoying Sam's sanity. Maybe we can re-employ Pardew and when he f@cks it all up again, Sam will have had enough of retirement?

It seems that the "paper talk" is centering on Silva. To them, he's the "young prince" who had a rough go at Hull and deserves a chance with a better squad. Somehow, I'm not convinced. As others here have noted, Hull's second half was based on home form alone. How much of that was the players and how much was how they were prepared I'll never know. The whole club, including Silva, seemed to capitulate at Selhurst although watching on TV I'm limited to what the cameras showed. The situation with ownership there couldn't have been the best as they are trying to sell it off. On the plus side, Silva does seem to have a good relationship with Luka dating back to their time at Olympiakos. On the other hand, I'd hate to Hodgson get the job. He just doesn't seem to be inspired to go into club management even if he is supposedly interested. I don't think Sean Dyche can be pried away from Burnley and I'm certain Eddie Howe won't leave his comfort zone at Bournemouth. Given the time factor (less than 60 days to pre-season training) and the transfer window opening in a little over a month the pressure on Parish and the Board to fill the vacancy is immense.

To be fair, burnley's whole season was based on home wins, and I'd take Dyche any day.
