Today's Addy reports Pards as saying that if he could handle Ben Arfa he could handle Adebayor. I rather thought the issue was that he didn't do a very good job of handling Ben Arfa at all. Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.

Today's Addy reports Pards as saying that if he could handle Ben Arfa he could handle Adebayor. I rather thought the issue was that he didn't do a very good job of handling Ben Arfa at all.

Don't forget, Pardew was the manager when the club converted his loan to a permanent move, and before Pardew arrived he'd hardly played for Newcastle due to injuries. Given that he had him as a player for several seasons before Ben Arfa threw his toys out of his prom, I'd say he did quite well. Don't forget, Pardew was the manager when the club converted his loan to a permanent move, and before Pardew arrived he'd hardly played for Newcastle due to injuries.

Whether that translates to handling Adebayor, is another matter.

For what it's worth, a bloke on FB (yes, I know) said today: "Ade[bayor] is all but done. Just working out % of wages to Spurs. He's better than what we have right now, is available, and will score goals." Someone commented about the Spurs game and the bloke said: "Sadly won't be done by Saturday" I have no idea what this bloke's credentials are, or how true this is, but hey, it's transfer window time and I might as well chuck it into the mix "You can feel the stadium jumping. For what it's worth, a bloke on FB (yes, I know) said today: "Ade[bayor] is all but done. Just working out % of wages to Spurs. He's better than what we have right now, is available, and will score goals."

Someone commented about the Spurs game and the bloke said: "Sadly won't be done by Saturday"

I have no idea what this bloke's credentials are, or how true this is, but hey, it's transfer window time and I might as well chuck it into the mix

Spurs are still paying him £100k a week. I read somewhere that the deal is dependant on Spurs approval and they won't give that until after we play them. Its a strange one as technically he is not a free agent but doesn't have a contract either. I guess anyone that gets him before June (when spurs stop paying him) will have to come to some arrangement with Spurs. Just my opinion. Lets see
