Jose made it clear at Stamford Bridge that he loves the Palace Fans,so maybe he might loan us Loic Remy for the season,Cabaye is used to his style of play in the French Team,so could be useful if we can persued him to Selhurst. He is interested so shouldn't need much convincing,Steve P and CPFC 2010 and Alan Pardew have certainly got their transfer plans for this window. Austin would also be a great link up player with the players we have already and should keep,Gayle,Murray,Chamakh, and add Austin and Remy,GREAT ATTACKING THREATS !!!!! Exciting Times to be a Palace Fan COYE !!!!!!
Yeah I imagine Jose is terrified at the prospect of competing with us for a player That's not too silly a fear though. Austin would have the choice of between a modest salary and first team football every week or being a third choice striker on a higher salary warming the bench. Remy, 2nd choice striker made a handful of starts last season, how many do you think a 3rd choice striker would make? Anyway....isn't Remy going on loan to Besiktas? I read the President of Besiktas is London to discuss it.

Not sure that QPR will go for this but they will want to offload him before the season starts I would have thought. Worth a go though but I also think we should keep Mariappa. I'm surprised Gayle isn't among the players mentioned. If I was the QPR manager he would be the first player I would want in part exchange. Possibly ever fringe/squad player was asked if they'd be up for a move to QPR and those are the ones that agreed. There's no point offering a player, agreeing a deal, only for one of the part-ex to say that don't want the move. This is probably goo for us as Gayle sale value is probably higher than his part-ex value. I could see it being any two of Mariappa, Gudieora and Campbell plus £10-12m. They are going to know how much we paid for them, how much we've been rumoured to get on offers and they will also have there own valuation on the players offered. With all that in mind I don't see players getting us that much of a discount off the original £15m. I still reckon £10-12m plus players would be a better deal than £15m The temptation for QPR might be that they could get a good midfielder, full back and a competent striker who's wages combined are less than Austins, as well as taking 10m in cash. I can't see the deal going through for 6m plus those three. If I was QPR I'd ask for Bannan as well and 8m. Not sure how much you think Austin earns , But guediera , mariappa and Campbell either aren't far of it , or earn more , he's reported to be on about 25k.

The former would be a good price. The latter amazing. So I guess I've answered my own question!

Yeh, source please madcap!!? No. not because I don't have one, but I don't want to get said person in the s***. I know and understand people want to know the validity of what I posted, but slightly risky for others involved. All I can say is I know someone who works at the club and those who know me know I worked for Palace. Check back my posts on the Cabaye deal & the announcement being made the same time as our new sponsor, to know I'm not into posting idle bollocks If it goes sour, I will let you know also. Do you have the low down on any info regarding Remy and a possible new CB to partner Dann ? Haven't asked to be honest. I've just been told stuff as it happens.

Not sure that's a particularly good bet. You've laid out £50 with a possible return of £112.50 if we sign one of them so you're only getting 5/4 for your money.

Crystal Palace set to make £6m part-exchange bid for QPR striker Charlie Austin as they look to bolster their strikeforce with Fraizer Campbell, Barry Bannan, Adrian Mariappa and Adlene Guedioura available in part-exchange. Edited by cpfc84 (09 Jul 2015 6.31pm) Certainly an interesting proposal, could actually really galvanise QPR's squad: all solid players instead of the over the hill, over-paid, under-motivated players they've purchasedi in recent years. I think that these players are all good championship level players who are all capable of doing a good job for Rangers. I think the offer was 2 from the 4 plus £6 million. I think Rangers will want more than we are offering but a figure of £8 million plus 2 could be basis of an agreement. I wonder if we are still interested in Phillips or Caulker as I am sure rangers will want them off the wage bill. I can see us either buying with player exchanges or possible loan deal similar to Remy at Newcastle for one of both of these. I wonder if the loan of a couple of Williams / / Kaikai / Boateng / Gray or even Dammo would interest them. All the young players need some First Team experience at a decent level such as championship. With QPR possibly having FPP fines to pay this would also help balance the books

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Charlie Austin (rumour)' by james03 Read on Twitter that the offer from Palace might be more appealing to QPR because they have sell-on clause with Burnley. Therefore, a cash & player deal could be better for QPR than straight cash of which X% goes out to Burnley. If they wrap it up as £6m + 2 players, it becomes more 'undisclosed' or could be valued at £10m depending on Palace's 'valuation' of Bannan, Mariappa etc.. Trouble is, I'm not sure QPR are the type of club open to such a sneaky type of transaction .............
