its funny my mates a cherries season ticket holder and hes convinsed the deals done he bases it on nothing more than him and all his mates say it just feels different this time and people he knows are all saying they think hes going

Cherries season ticket holder here too. Sadly, much as I'd like to, I can't read that interview as a definite 'no, I'm not going'. even if he makes the decision to stay with us, always assuming he's actually being offered it of course, I think he's been very, very tempted by this one in a way he hasn't been by any of the other jobs. I think I said earlier on this thread that, as soon as I heard Burley had been sacked, this job was the one that really worried me

Can I just say how refreshing it is to see such a good discussion between fans of different clubs even though we are trying to nick their manager.

More constructive than having the Clowns and QPhahaha on here.

Hopefully Bournemouth will get promoted and we will have a few more educated posters on here

I've been to loads of Bournemouth games over the years - lived down there for quite a while and quite a few mates of mine are fans and/or season ticket holders.

I have to say that their fans are one of the most mixed bags I've ever come across. Their away support is one of the most racist, ignorant groups I've had the dubious pleasure of spending any time with - but there are a lot of very reasoned, intelligent Bournemouth supporters as well.

Forbidded Fruit, fortunately, seems to fall into the latter category. And she's a lady!

The more i hear about this guy the more i like him. In todays modern unethical game he seems to stand out as a man full of respect and loyalty for his home club. Sometime though loyalty does not progress your career so i hope he is at that point now where he can move on to a new challenge and leave his home town club with some money.

Seems a great guy.

Your spelling is clearly very wide of the mark.

However, what the hell does all of the above mean?!

I think you are trying to imply the compensation fee, and that bournemouth could do with it? If we have been given permission to speak to Eddie Howe then we will have agreed a compensation package for Bournemouth. I doubt they need the money that would come from it, but I'm pretty sure Eddie would want to come to us...

Reading these exchanges between fans of the two clubs I have developed an instant affection for the Cherries and their supporters. They seem honourable and devoted people
and so does their manager. Long may they prosper and, whatever happens, I do hope they get promotion (and trust we don't pass them going the other way!)

yorkshire eagles, I think it is pretty obvious what he meant and your just being extremely pedantic. Bournemouth don't need the money?! How can you possibly say that, it's common knowledge that money is extremely tight for them which is one of the reasons Parish wants Howe, because he does well on a minuscule budget.

Try completely non-existent for most of the time. Minuscule would be being generous. But, if Eddie is being asked to come to you and work on a tiny budget for you too, he might as well stay here where we all love him. You're not that far above us.

no im not being pedantic i know lots of cherries fans as lived in Dorset for over 6 years till recently they are always in need of money, they are a club run on a very tight budget i just texted my mate who's a season ticket holder and he says and i quote 'if anyone thinks we are anything other than just solvent they don't know us'

also were all palace fans here spelling shouldn't be that important

Who ever our new manager is the chairmen have already stated that he will be given enough funds for us to be competitive in this division and with respect (current league position apart) we are certainly a much bigger club than AFC Bournemouth (at the moment anyway)

Well said, I have always had a soft spot for Afc Bournemouth, and love the area and coast, I often go down there for a weekend drive.
As for Howe, I'm all for managers and player loyalty so if he stays with the cherries good luck to him,
and the clubs push for promotion.
