when we sold him his reported wages at MU were c£80k a week. For a £50m signing and the fact every MU player seems to be on a min of £100k a week i thought that on the low side.

Can only think the pay off is because he didn't asked to go and was refusing unless his contract was paid up

That as well, Utd have paid the difference between what he was earning to what he will be earning at west Spam. Source sky/bbc
