hiya is anyone having issues or can help? i dont have a smartphone (i have this problem every season) but now im on limited work hours due to extensive surgery on my arm which has made me partially disabled and i dont have the money to buy a smartphone. box office being no help at all but happy to take £600 for my season ticket! :-( If you go onto the 'I can't attend anymore' thread you'll find a lot of help & answers.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Thank you everyone for all your support, help and ideas/suggestions. I have left a message on an answer phone and waiting for Palace to get back to me before my fiance will help me decide what to do next and what action to take going forward. Thanks again.

I have just gone on the Palace website and enquired about season tickets. About 6 weeks ago I applied for a physical season ticket and my request was accepted, although it hasn't been delivered yet ( nothing new in that). However, it appears there was a deadline for such applications (although I don't remember seeing one) and this what it now says Will my 24/25 Season Ticket be digital? "All 24/25 Season Tickets will be digital mobile tickets, unless a strict criteria is met" "Applications for physical Season Ticket cards have now closed for the 24/25 season" I find this intransigence on this matter entirely unacceptable. The club waffle on about inclusivity but then exclude people who don't have smart phones from attending games.

At least they are inclusive towards staff who don't know the difference between a criterion and some criteria.

I visited the ground this morning and asked what was happening and they will be contacting us next week. What if something big comes around.
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

As it was only by one of the cheap seat people no not really but with everything going on at the moment I HOPE that they were telling the truth. I didn't see anything of the Old stand happening and the 4 houses in Woodside are still standing.

As I understand it, the old Nokia type 'non smart' phones work on low (2 or 3g). Smart phones need higher (4 or 5g). They are doing away with lower g masts so these older phones won't work. How long until that day I don't know. This was explained to me by a techie and most of the conversation went way above my head. Are there any phone experts here?

That's fine, it's a fair question. I'm VERY sensitive to light so this means I can't use smart phones, computers, attend concerts, go in shops that have a ceiling light flashing etc. I have to wear sunglasses a lot and just use an old Nokia that i can stand looking at for about half an hour a day sometimes. Apparently the Premier League wants it all digital by 26/27 season so everyone, even those over 65 who have been accepted this time will have trouble if not got a phone by then. That sucks. You should get an exception.
