Come on!. Mainoo and Garnacho are two of their best players and they have several others on the fringe of their first team

Well they are both players of great promise who have just broken into the United side. And the other 28 years?

No that is my point. After the class of 92 United have only produced a handful of first team players from their youth ranks Rashford being the most obvious one. They have produced others who have gone on to have a decent career but mostly not at top 6 level.

Why they were able to produce 6/7 world class players and then nothing for 30 years shows just how hard it is to find and develop talent.

Got it! I'm clearly being a bit slow today. Can I blame me age?

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Thanks for accepting that your "nothing for 30 years" is wrong. Rashford, McTominay and Greenwood also haven't had bad careers either. And that's not including our current goalie

Doesn't look to me like we have ready replacements if Olise, Eze or Mateta were sold this window. I hope we are looking for replacements this Summer with a view to bedding them in and selling our stars maybe January or next Summer. Guehi might go this Summer to fund those replacements.

That's what logic tells me should happen but there is not often very obvious logic during the transfer window.

I think the club are reported to have said hands-off Mateta and Eze only at a good pricelise decision is in his hands. Looks like Kamada is arriving as back-up replacement to the latter so think the board are doing pretty well to date

We'd need so many murals which could become problematic.

With the strength of the Premier league, it's never going to happen. It's mathematically impossible, a nation of 60 million people competing against the rest of the world its why only 5% of current players come through Premier league academies.

The class of 92 happened back then because the English league was pretty poor in comparison to Europe, especially technically, so these players had the luxury of plenty of experience by the time they won in Europe and that was with buying 2 of the best strikers in England at the time and i think staam was the most expensive defender in the world. 2 out of 6 were average. If they came through today, butt and p nevile would be lucky to get 5 appearances before being sold.

I can imagine everyone on an end of terrace in the South Norwood area being a bit nervous of going on holiday incase they come back and there’s a scary looking painting of a Palace player slapped on the side of their house

If we're talking about more than one then it's Zahas and Whartons - NOT Zaha's and Wharton's. The apostrophe in those two cases should be referr3ing to something belonging to Zaha and Wharton.

(English lesson over - for now).

PS. Yes, I was once a teacher many moons ago. I just get frustrated at how often the apostrophe is misused.

If this was in Bromley in the 1970’s and you owned a CV2……I may well have let your tyres down
