BBC are reporting he's training with us with a view to signing. If he can show his fitness then would be a great pick up for next to nothing.
Why would anyone chose to be a Seagull? The Eagle is a far superior creature. The Seagull lives under it's damp pier meekly looking out, blinded by the sheer quality of the Eagle's palace. |

The constant hamstring injuries suggest there may be an underlying problem, but can be resolved. Ryan Giggs had similar and took up yoga to rectify the issue and he continued playing until his late 30s. He's only training with us so let's see how things progress. As i said earlier, similar to the Clyne scenario 4 years ago, and he's still with us.

Wing back/full back is an area we are not blessed with depth. Obviously has his injury issues, but assuming its a sensible deal, there is still a great player there

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Talent wise he's above Mitchell. If they think they can get him fit he would be excellent competition in a position where we sorely need it. However, there is a part of me that thinks 'Will we ever learn?' after Wickham and Ferguson.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

Very good move. It seems we are moving into a new era of squad building. If handled properly and Lady Luck is on his side, this could be another master stroke.

He may want to launder his CV by taking a season on lesser terms. And I can't think RS has the whip hand in this especially if he wants to stay in London and play in the EPL. Are there any like suitors banging down his door? If after a season's assessment we have a Clyne on our hands, then hand him a decent contract. Otherwise, it's the door. The risk is that we stop looking for another LB and then Mitchell gets injured and joins him on the treatment table. Such is football I guess. Edited by silvertop (02 Jul 2024 10.32am)

There is one hell of a player in there IF he can get and stay fit. Worth having him around for pre-season and if it works, offer him a structured package.

Nat Clyne resuscitated his injury-hit career with us, so good luck to Ryan Sess. Would be quite a result for both parties.
