Spurs were always going to loose the game. And the spurs fans made a show of themselves last night.

I remember when Millwall won the old 2nd Division in 1988.

They clinched the title before the end of the season. We would have reached the playoffs if Millwall beat Blackburn on the final day of the season, and if we beat Man City, by a wide but not insurmountable margin.

It was reported that before the match, the Millwall fans were in the pub, singing “We’re going to stuff the Palace.”

Millwall put up a lame performance and lost 4-1. The reporter from the BBC said that “the large shirtsleeved crowd didn’t seem too bothered.”

I would very happily return the compliment if there was no impact on our league position, and we relegated Millwall or stopped them getting promotion.

I probably wouldn’t feel the same way about Brighton.

I remember that day, obviously before the internet and mobiles, rumour spread round the ground at one stage that Millwall were winning. I’ve still got the footage of Brian Moore commenting as the buzz went round the ground

Exactly! The Arsenal fans must have been laughing themselves silly at them singing “Are you watching, Arsenal” when they were losing.Pathetic and Big Ange was clearly disgusted at the thought his fans were content to lose. Aussies take their sport and winning very seriously.

A few seasons ago we played away at Cardiff, I think it was the penultimate game of the season. Whilst we were safe, Brighton were very much on the brink of relegation.

We beat Cardiff that day, but had we lost then Brighton would have gone down, as Cardiff won their last game of the season (if memory serves me right).

It says something where a fanbase reaches such a point that it's only hope of glory/joy is seeing their superior neighbours lose!

Spare a thought for Charlton and the 'wall.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

That's very interesting, but (getting back to the question) how many Palace fans wanted, or didn't want, them to lose to Cardiff, do we think? What did you want?

Any palace fan who travelled all the way to a foreign country wanting us to lose would most definitely have been one rung short of a ladder

If Palace had nothing to play for and rolling over meant Brighton would not make the Champions League I would still want Palace to win. Its called being professional. All this hoping your team lose really just epitomizes how childish, naive and pathetic Spurs are. And any other teams fans that felt the same way.
Its our job to try and win as many games as we can. Its everyone elses job to do the same. If that happens the league keeps its integrity. Rolling over for teams to help or hinder others is corrupt as well as childish.

Spot on est1905. I do wonder whether Ange Post. will want to stay after what he saw from Spurs fans. He was clearly very angry last night and rightly so IMO.

Definitely want the win even if it meant a rival got something. Then of course rub it in next season when we play them that they only won because of us!

Its funny you should make that observation. Was talking to a pal who supports Spurs this morning and he is convinced its not a good fit. Ange wants success, Levy want success only if it brings in big money. He thinks Ange will walk in the summer.

A textbook answer.
